Dosage?

So I decarbed 6~grams of trim for 45 minutes at 215 then 15 minutes at 225. I then added that to 8~grams of AVB for 15.3 grams total. I put the plant material with a stick and a half of butter in a saucepan and heated it on on low from 75-198 for 3 hours and then from 198-220 for 10 minutes then from 165-228 for about the same. I then wrapped it in foil and put it in the fridge for awhile then into the freezer for overnight. I plan on melting it again tmrw till I get to 225 and then straining.

If the average THC of the trim and AVB was about 2-5% and I had 15 grams into almost 2/5 lb butter, would it be correct in thinking that a recipe that made 2 dozen cookies would have roughly 3~mg of THC per cookie? I'm horrible at math but think I might be close with the dosage?

Sooo did you decarb the already vaped bud?
In my head the thc that remained on the plant didnt reach temps high enough to boil off, perhaps it also didnt reach high enough temps for a period of time to sufficiently decarb

Also why such long times at that heat just to dissolve it in the butter..
I like about a 300 mg dose sometimes more
And as always, coconut oil is the best choice

Yeah I did decarb at 205 for 45 minutes.

I agree with the Coconut oil, I was just out and live in BFE so didn't feel like driving for it.

I only ended up with 1/3 cup butter solidified so I halved the THC recipe and made 12. I was out of it last night after licking the mixing bowl for a good while lol. I ate two this morning and am taking some bong tokes but I will be outside for the rest of the day so it should go from high onset potency-smoking to long lasting never coming down-edibles. I will eat one more here in about 15 for what I hope is around 80~mg

I was told that ABV is already decarbed from the vape process...how much longer should you decarb?

Well im not saying a good portion isnt decarbed being hit by those high temps, 5 minutes should suffice with so much surface area. I just wonder how hot it actually got and for how long, definitely not boiling point or it wouldnt be there. The resin accumulated would be decarbed. Maybe sometime ill do an extraction on some and see whats up

Yeah, I guess it would probably depend on the temp it was vaped at, as to how much longer it would need decarbed.
