Doomsday

Oh well, we fucked up.

No going back now

I get a kick out of it when they use words such as, could/possibly/might/there's a chance.

They must think we're all fucking idiots that can't read/comprehend data..

Nope, we're not all Trump supporters,

How about using will/certain/definitely/gonna happen, you little bitch :)

Wouldn't they be more on the mark?

Or shit/fuck/Holy cow/God damn/Motherfucker also would work very well.

Or simply tell the truth, that a very large portion of this planet, Earth, will be underwater in 50 years.

Within 5 years from now this glacier, appropriately named Doomsday, will separate from the main ice shelf, releasing ice & snow that had been developing since the fucking dinosaurs walked into the ocean, raising the ocean level immediately 1' and with the decay of the neighboring ice raise the level to at least 7'.

I don't think that I have to tell anyone what that means.

And don't forget the influence of the ice melt on the temperature of the sea water, dramatically affecting marine life.

So, that's that.

Who would have thought it

We'd pollute ourselves into extinction

Not war

Fossil fucking fuel

Jesus Christ Almighty

Very interesting time to be alive, isn't it, witnessing the demise of this Planet

This is my song of the day

Crank it :)

Sorry/I know/another shit thread :(

Just read this today. Methane explosions in the Arctic circle from warming permafrost

View attachment 5080460

They have found similar large holes on the bottom of some lakes leaking methane in the Alaska permafrost.

Yeah, Obama is definitely the guy we should be targeting for profiting from presidency.

Obama's entire net worth is less than 1/3 of what taxpayers paid trump just to play golf.
Not defending Trump, he's not my kind of guy. Questioning your statement though.

Didn't Trump already have a shitload of money before he became President and Barry was a "poor constitutional professor" and the only other paychecks he got were from raping tax payers for his State and U.S. Senate gigs?

Obama, like most former presidents, made a lot of money from things like book deals and speaking engagements.

I’m not sure how much money trump had before becoming president but there doesn’t seem to be a big market for speaking engagements and book deals for a twice impeached, barely literate, imbecile former president.

I guess the difference between us is that I’m not surprised an intelligent man would be more successful than a fool.

I think the difference between us, is I don't worship either Trump or Obama or any President.

Also, I don't think success and how much money people have are automatically the same thing.

Besides, Obama? He didn't build that ! :D

Here we go again, it's the end of the world  There have been 79 predictions of climate-caused apocalypse going back to the first Earth Day in 1970. With the passage of time, many of these forecasts have since expired; the dates have come and gone uneventfully. In fact, 48 (61%) of the predictions have already expired as of the end of 2020.
How many times are yall gonna fall for the same trick? When I was a kid it was "acid rain" and the ozone was disappearing. If the acid rain didn't kill you, the lack of an ozone would lead to a horrible death
It's the same bullshit from the media that has been around since the 70s. Back then Newsweek ran an article about how a new ice age was coming, and "meteorologist largely agreed". What a crock of shit. Scientists are trying to study the "doomsday" glacier, but they can't even get to it. The media has been doing this for decades, and obviously there is no shortage of uninformed pawns readily waiting to spread the bullshit like butter on bread.

Like you, about Thwaites.

A- Thwaities is the doomsday glacier, but the part they're worried about is the sea ice plug hold the rest in place. The plug that will raise sea levels 3", the rest of it, 3 feet.
B)-There have been teams studying Thwaites for decades. There are several on the Glacier right now.
C- This latest US/UK team is being blocked by yet another massive iceberg floating by.

Right wingers, losing a sense of irony since 1980. Smh

this isn't the media saying this, it's practically every climate scientist alive..but you know better than all of them
acid rain and the ozone hole were real, and they were major contributing factors in our current problem... but people like you are the biggest contributing factor, you make it possible for politicians to ignore the problem
