ok, so lets all have a rubdown with some roundup
by your logic if something causes cancer than "so does the sun and your cell phone"
so that makes it ok?
just hunky-dory?

"get a clue if you think your neighbor spraying roundup on his driveways is giving you cancer"

Ok, first. to pretend like you know how carcinogens work is just sad.

If he is spraying a carcinogen, that to me, is A PROBLEM.

Ask yourself if ANYONE on the planet knows exactly where their cancer came from.

That's just idiotic.
So you are saying that no herbicide on earth that has been linked to cancer should be used? Half the population of earth would starve. You sound smart.

The fact of the matter is if Monsanto was shut down tomorrow a new herbicide would take the place of Roundup (*possibly more toxic and carcinogenic), or we would have starvation on a massive global scale. Herbicides are necessary for the production of many crops in the scale that we need them for the 6 bil+ people on earth, whether the ends justify the means is hardly debatable. Currently Monsanto seeds feed most of the world, this is only possible because of Roundup.

There are about a billion people on earth that have food today because of GMO produce and the herbicides/pesticides they have been engineered to work hand in hand with. Try telling them they dont have food today because some upitty liberals in the USA were afraid a handful of privledged people may get cancer. You have the luxury of being able to eat organic produce, so do it, but keep your mouth shut cuz there are a lot of people not as fortunate as u that are happy that they just have food.

a handful of people getting cancer...
right.
I'm gonna guess you are a Trump supporter too right?

Ends justify the means, shut up and eat organic if u dont like it. Herbicides are a necessary evil and nothing you say will refute that. Monsanto is not a problem because they make herbicides they r a problem because they are a monopoly. Ignorant people say things like "it causes cancer so it must be bad" but it only causes cancer in a tiny amount of people to feed MILLIONS. Sometimes you must weigh the good against the bad and do things that hurt some people for the good of many.

And weren't u just the one saying no one can prove what gave them cancer? So how u know how many it is or if there is even proof of a single case of Roundup causing cancer? Everything you say is conjecture because if it was fact Monsanto would have to pay out the ass just ass the asbestos producers had to, this hasn't happened. As of now it is not even deemed positively carcinogenic, like we know gasoline and other chemicals used in everyday life ARE PROVEN TO BE.

The world health organization deems it to be "probable" that it is a carcinogen. The WHO has deemed gasoline to BE a human carcinogen, you want to ban gasoline?

Im not a trump fan, but i am a conservative. And you sir, are ignorant. I dont expect an intelligent response to this, but i welcome one.

explain to me, how you are so certain it "only causes cancer in a tiny fraction of people"
where are these statistics?

Again, you are only succeeding in pissing me off by telling me to shut my mouth.

So by your argument, they are a problem, and it's just the fact that they are a monopoly?

the WHO designated that it's a "probable" carcinogen.
Like cigarettes, artificial sweetners, etc.
that's the World Health Organization.
I like to believe they know a thing or two, about health.

Everything I say is conjecture?
I listed link after link, and they are conjecture??

How one can possibly ascertain how cancer started is just asinine.

Things CAUSE cancer, so when you add things to your LIFE that causes cancer, they typically can, indeed, cause cancer.

Does everyone that smokes get cancer? NO.
Does every old automechanic get mesothelioma?
NO.

You do understand how cancer works, right?

Yes conjecture, meaning unproven. The WHO has said that gasoline, tobacco and many other things ARE carcinogens, not that they probably are! So by them saying probable means that they are not certain Roundup is a carcinogen, this is the definition of conjecture. While we use hundreds of products proven to cause cancer you want to do away with one that hasnt even been proven to cause cancer that feeds billions. Smart

So ban gasoline cuz its a carcinogen?
welllll, now we are in my realm a lil more..
gasoline as a hydrocarbon is cancer causing, damn near everything on your car causes cancer.
if we were spraying mass amounts of gas, on the WORLD, and almost all the farms and produce.
then yes, we should probably ban using gasoline like that.
use your head.

Pretty sure i made my point. You make blanket statements that anything that causes cancer is bad, and this makes you ignorant because there are hundreds of carcinogenic products that billions of people use every day for the exact reason people use roundup, because the ends justify the means. We weigh the benefit against the cost and we make the decision that we will risk cancer for the benefits of using products like gasoline, artificial sweeteners and herbicides/pesticides.

Just pumping your cars gas has been proven to cause cancer, benzene is nasty shit.

ok, then do us all a favor and gargle twice daily with roundup
PROBABLY won't hurt you at all?

No shit?
tell me more of that please.
I've forgotten more than you'll ever know about vehicle emissions.
who said emissions, im talking about gasoline vapor, you breathe it when u pump gas. It is only mildly dangerous in the small amounts we receive so we risk it cuz we like driving cars, sounds like a certain herbicide we risk using because the risk is low and the benefit is high.
