so i shouldnt have a plant that has these hermie traits in a grow room with one that hasnt seen the outside?
See thats just the thing Haze. Your not sure if your outdoor plants self pollenated or were pollenated naturally.(wind/bees/butterflies, ect...) But if you do have a plant that hermis in the flower chamber and pollenates other plants in the chamber. Like BTs post, just made yourself some Femmed seeds. At least strong fem characterisitics...........

Thanks for the post Bricktop........

I would not advise making feminized seeds if it happened due to a hermi, even if through an unintentional Rodelization (Soma Method) sort of thing. They tend to pass on the hermi train more than when colloidal silver is used, but he can do it if he wants.

Also if he does decide to attempt to make feminized seeds to do it right he needs another crop that is roughly two weeks into flower to use the pollen on, or to collect the bananas and to mark them and to store them correctly for future use with another crop.

There is also the slight chance that it has been a case of a natural hermi, but normally the male sexual organs that show up in a natural hermi are sterile so the chances of that being the case are pretty slim, especially if this is something that has happened more than just once, which I believe I read it has.

Right to the wire. IKinda what i expected from the Pats but not the Packers. Flynn played well. I figured the Pats would be a bit flat coming off 2 huge weeks in a row. Looks like the road to the Superbowl will be through Foxborough and Atlanta.

Damn, not sure how I missed this till now. If anyone can do those seeds justice it would be you CL. Brick Top, please stick around. You always have something important to add.
I swear that Noob destroyers pics were from a Fruitfly arguing about bud density praising fluffy buds. Might be wrong but swear I remember those pics.

fuckin nirvana god damnit all my blackberry seeds died on me right after they came out of soil and now nirvana is trying to replace them with the same ones. Is this right? I payed for the most expensive pack they had and im asking for master kush which is cheaper for them to replace it with because i cant afford to have another batch of seeds go completely. Am i wrong in my thinking of asking for somthing different. Doesnt it cost them the same no matter what pack they send me especially since i payed for the expensive one?

They may be able to go back after the breeder for the cost of the failed seeds, therefore covering the new seeds they send you, but if it is from another breeder, they may not get anything back, except you as a customer. I have been considering buying some willy jack seeds as they are on sale, but i found that willy jack is out of business and appears to have been for several years, so how old is this seed stock they have? If i buy them and have to store them for a year are they even going to have a chance?

Also thought it would be cool to do exactly the opposite of this thread, grow out the cheapest seeds i can find (that doesn't have the weed attached), see and post the results

There is only one breeder and or seedbank who I distrust and dislike as much, or maybe even more, than Nirvana. I have hung around on sites like this since they first sprung up and I have never seen any breeder have so many complaints and or horror stories told about them, and a handful of those complaints and stories have come in person from people I have known over the years.

For the life of me I cannot understand how Nirvana has not only managed to remain in business but also on this site be seen by so many as a good option of where to pick their genetics from.

I would not give so much as one single small piece of dry cat shit for every bean in Nirvana's inventory even if it came with free guaranteed shipping.

Good luck!

There are a number, a fairly small number in relation to the total number of breeders, of truly skilled highly professional breeders. Then there is a large number of breeders that crank out mainly Wal-Mart grade genetics, with an occasional stroke of luck coming up with something pretty decent. Even a blind squirrel will find a nut now and then. Then there are a few pure pollen chuckers that don't deserve to be called or considered to be professional breeders and who create gear that is not of as high quality or as stable as I have known to come from some amateur basement breeders.

Sadly most people, here anyway, pick their genetics from the second two groups.

Have you noticed how very few people here talk about growing strains from Reeferman or Mr. Nice Seeds, but when you look through their lines on seedbanks they are very often times sold out of many strains in their line?

What does that tell you? It tells you that outside of this little RIU world many others know true quality breeders with top line genetics and when they get a chance to purchase them they snap them up as fast as they can.

And when you think about the breeders most RIU members rave about and the strains most RIU members grow, what does that tell you about the level or degree of knowledge, or lack there of, of truly skilled breeders and top quality genetics that the majority of RIU members has?

I have to believe that at least some of you will be capable of figuring out the correct answer to that question on your own.

It tells me that most people here can't make up their own minds. It tells me that we're all a herd and grow what one person says is the dopest dope. Why have I kept my own seed stock for years? Why do I only get clones from the same two people I have been for years? Because there isn't much else out there worth paying for. Good genes are good genes. As mucked up as our Pot gene pool is now people still shamelessly crank out seed after seed. Shamelessly, is it really THAT bad? YES! How many thousands of variations on the same bloody herb we've been smoking for ages do we need?

Many, or most, RIU people are members of the 'flavor of the month club.' Whatever someone else raves about many of the rest just have to try it ... even if its genetics are not really what will give them the most of that they like and want or even if the genetics are really not all that high in quality.

How many thousands of variations on the same bloody herb we've been smoking for ages do we need?

You are 100% correct in saying that and it is a variation of something I have said many times. There are TONS of strains that are so close to being the same that if one quarter or one third, or maybe more, of the strains offered today suddenly vanished from the face of the earth it would not be a loss because there would still be a bunch more that are so very close to being the very same thing that no one would end up going without something they want, or that they think they want.

I been growing for over a year now and i always see the same strains being grown and talked about...

Me personally i look for strains that are not typical in forums and always try to be more of a seeker for that diamond in the rough strain. I stray away from less popular breeders for the simple fact that i am spending money on these breeders.

About 8 months ago i bought a 5pack of black berry from sativa seeds and not one germinated that was $60 down the drain...

If you want to find some good strains follow the link and then go down the list a handful of years, or even start at or near the bottom, and start picking. I have found strains that won a 2nd or 3rd place Cup 6, 8 or 10 years ago or more that would beat any 'flavor of the month' strain that people here rave about being fantastic.

Many people here wrongly assume that new or newer always equates to better ... but that isn't always the case. There were some true gems created in the past that simply fell out of vogue because people wrongly perceived them to not possibly be any good because they had some age on them.

A handful of older strains still have a following but many others have long been forgotten about, and some today's puppies have never even heard of some of them, but many of them would top most of what is being released today.

And I quote you, Brick, on this. What happened to white widow? I've got a grip of white widow seeds that has next year's cup winner in there somewhere by god. Lol.
