So far most of my tips has come from my local hydro store owner. Got me to buy canna stuff and gave a complete guide how to grow it in the stuff. Sure he got a sale out of me but way worth it. Always gives me a discount.

I have to leave through the back and it when another customer comes in it's shush shush.

How many times have you been in your hydro shop and there;s been other growers in there? This one time these two guys bought up big what looked like a new set up. They weren't growing veggies..didn't look like the type and had exhaust equipment as well. In fact the only people i have seen in my local hydro shop has been stoners who look like growers..you can tell.

If they don't grow.. They know that alot of people that come into there store do.. At one of my local shops, i was having problems with some nute def's. And I was talking to the lady, and she told me to bring a leaf in for her.. So i did.. And she was cool with it, and helped me figure out what was going on..

^^lol just re-read this, and thought "Cool Story Bro"

LOL I would think the percentage of grow store owners that actually grow is very HIGH.
if your gonna be a farmer you'd better know how to milk a cow :)

SO a new hyro store has recently opened near me... There are none others and this is the first.. That being said, I am sure the owners work it and it being a bran new establishment I am inclined to think they may frown upon illegal veggies. If only for the sake that they dont want that rep right outta the gate.. get me?

I dont like that awkward first convo with a shop employee/owner when you dont know if he is straight or a damn DEA agent... ha unlikely just an example...
So throw me some plant names I can say I am growing so that when I describe a problem, or an idea, of mine to the shop people their answers will still be applicable to my sweet herbage..

quick responses needed... Im about to head over there.. my lil babies need fooood!!!

The hydro industry was not built on tomatoes. It started out that way but . . .. You don't have to mention pot in the hydro store. In fact, discussing your "plants" needs will immediately clue them in and they can give you advice. Do NOT mention pot - in many states or localities this can be can be charged as conspiracy. And your hydro store owner grows his own bud. Bet on it.

Most times not when I am at work ( Hydro Store ) , most people simply state plant(s) and nothing more lol .. This seems to be the code word most used ..

Sent my (grown) daughter to one to simply ask the price of one of their light systems and the woman there said - without anything else said beforehand - "Don't even say the word" without saying what that "word" was. My daughter was amused. But, hey, if an undercover were to go in and discuss growing pot and the owner went along with it they could be charged or shut down. Or both.

I'm lucky enough our hydro store owner is a legal grower just as I am he even comes out and helps me prune a harvest if it wasn't for him I'm not sure how the crops would have turned out

My hydro guy knows I've got a license and what I grow. He has been very helpful. He hasn't mentioned his own cultivation preference but he looks and acts like he smokes it.

I figure most hydro store owners have their hands in some level of pot growing. Its federally illegal for a store owner to discuss pot even in a med state.
Back in the early 90's I walked Rain or Shine in Eugene Oregon while the DEA and the State Police were raiding the store. They grabbed me and my friend and questioned us. we didn't return to our house for two days we just kept riding around Lane county drinking beer went from Eugene out to the coast and then up to Cougar Hotsprings we just stayed drunk. If they follwed us they got really bored watching two drunk wooks thumping around in an old Pontiac.

Dudeman was like that at first... Didn't take but a couple months and he was kickin' me down out of his own stash. So... my answer is yes.

Yep he sure does. Since I used to be an acquaintance I smoked his fine weed, collected clones of the best strains at cheap prices, and got hefty discounts on all my equipment and the best no BS knowledge out there. :)

I am lucky enough to have a hydro store near me that the owner is a medical patient and so am I so we can openly discuss growing even in the store. When I first went in I was all like "plants" this and "plants" that but he can straight out and asked if I was legal and a patient and if I was so was he and it is cool. Now other hydro stores I still use "plants" or "flowers". In the state I live in it is only legal to talk about, smoke with , sell or trade to other medical patients and I ask to see their card before doing anything, that way I am covered.
