Does turning off your light for 72 hours do anything

Hey guys im bout to harvest in 2 days and i read on here somewere that if you turn your lights off for 72 hrs before you harvest it increases trichs, and crystals, and other shit. i was seeing if anybody heard this or has done it. View attachment 190845 thats my baby taken about a week ago

Sorry I dont know the answer to your question.
But I was just wondering what is a Trich? I am quite new to growing.

I just did a harvest and pulled one and let the other sit for an extra 36hrs and I didn't see any difference between the two. I have heard that mold can grow quick during long spans of darkness while still on the plant. Hope this helps.

Trichomes are the crystals on the bud that contain thc

The only strain i have heard of turning the lights off at the end is purple haze. I don't know if that applies to any other strains, i guess there's only one way to find out

damn guy how big of a butt plug do u have in there?just messin with u. remember that there are alotta newbs on here that dont know what certain things are.

doin a 72hr dark period before harvest will do jack shit for increasing in the trich and weight count.its just a rumor and or myth

It's a waste of time from what I've seen. I tried side by side comparison also and if you want stronger bud just give the plants that extra time with light until you get amber trichomes, and prepare to be stuck to the couch for a while.
