So this is my 2nd grow but first time using a tent.

600w hps/mh dimmable ballast
Grow hood with inline vent
Vivosun 370 cfm fan
Charcoal filter.

So i just got this setup done 2 days ago. Temps stay at 72-75 with fan on lowest setting.

Do i have the inline filter correct? I have it pulling from filter and exiting tent. Any tips or help is appreciated. Heres the pics

1 never dim your ballast.......the ballast might dim but the bulbs are not designed too they are ment for a set watt to pass tho them to work correctly ( ie the right color waves and power) running a bulb on a lower watt does damage to the bulb shorting the over all usable life .....if u up grade look for Select a Watt those do 1000 600 watt bulbs great

2 your carbon fiilter move it so it is in the center of the tent right above the hood ......u want the suction to be at the hottest part of the room to get the most effect

3 have u run the fan on full power with all doors closed and only the vents open(does it concave in if the pass vents only )

make a powered intake for your tent .....using the booster fan will keep a negitive pressure in the tent but not so great it concaves the tent in

4 what the other person said about a fan .......they are talking about in the tent to blow over the tops of the plants to remove the IR heat build up on the leaves .......simple trick get a paint can with 3/4 to full for the weight take a peice of pine fur strip (98 cents for 8 feet home depot) cut it to about 4 or 5 feet......then set it next to the can and duct tape it around to the can 20 times or so ....u made a stand a 6 inch clip on fan can hook to and use it in your tent with it taken up little footprint

5 i am guessing u are on MH bulbs ......these bulbs make less IR heat then HPS .......so test your HPS in there before u get to deep and run into oh shit problems scrambling for fixes

6 and relax this is ment to be fun u will not need to buy weed again ......as for what happends do not worry the crops keep getting better as your skills get better

Thank you a bunch. The filter is too big to put above the light. The tent will only cave in if the fan is on full and not 1 single vent is open. If i open 1 or 2 vents i dont habe that issue.

Right now yes I'm using mh. Without the fan on i have been able to keep temps 72-77. Yes i have 3 clip fans set up sorry i didnt show the pics

i'm running the same size tent, and i had to upgrade to a 550 cfm phresh filter hooked to a 440 cfm fan to keep the smell under control. what you have ought to be good enough to deal with heat, but i'm not sure if it will deal with all your odors.
i switched to a bare bulb vertical set up recently, but before, i was running the 600 in a cool tube with a 440 filter and a 380 fan, and it was dealing with the heat fine.

Burn some incense in the tent close it up and let it run for a bit, you'll know pretty quickly if the scrubber is doing its job, and if you have any air leaks(unscrubbed air). Looks good.

With a fan blowing air around in the tent I'm pretty sure it's not going to make any difference if it's off center. :)

It all looks great. Nice home for the kids. :)

If you want to use lower wattage then you should get a bulb that matches the wattage of the lower settings. Then it's all good and you save some power. Those little ones would be happy under 250W and then go right to 600 when they get bigger. Not sure what settings you have. Mine are all one setting magnetics that are probably older than you unless you're over 30.

Good luck!
