Does pollen have a shelf life?

if i grow a male plant and harvest pollen into a vial can i hold on to it a while before brushing it on some ladies a few grows later?

cool, just got a seed out of some really good blue dream. gonna pop it and see what happens. if its male may breed it to one of my current feminized for kicks.

Chances are that seed is an S1 of the Blue Dream you had, so it's most likely a feminized seed. Still worth growing, she just won't give you any pollen, unless you reverse her.

I'd be careful using a random seed you found for breeding. If it was created by a hermie parent, it'll just pass along that hermie tendency.

I had a herm plant in my last run, I've moved some vegging plants into that tent and switched it to 18/6 I'm assuming the pollen won't be viable for long enough to pollinate these plants once I flower them, is that correct? hermie plant removed a week ago, maybe another week of 18/6.

Absolutely. Cannabis pollen may last years if stored properly. Keeping the pollen in the fridge is best.. like Bud Tipps previously stated, but it doesn't have to be kept in a fridge.. it can be kept in a cool, dark place too and still be viable for years. Heat and moisture kills pollen.

Cannabis pollen may be viable in the air for about 3 - 10 days, depending on the heat, humidity and airflow.
