Does my hps light need a fan?

your gonna need a fan or pretty good intake/exhaust I did a closet grow with a 150w hps and temps would spike almost to 110 degrees till I added fans. hps bulbs pump a ton of heat.

you should always have some type of ventilation in your grow area. whether or not its to cool a light or not. depending on the total area in the closet you may or not need to blow one directly on it. a snall ocilating fan may be all you need. good luck

How will I know what I need to do. I just put a ocilating fan in the closet. I hope thats all I need. I live by myself. Could I just leave the door open so its not so hot if that turns out to be a prob?

if it shakes it will only strengthen the stem if its not too much and u shud get 1 more fan...u can use it on the light to cool down the bulb
