does molasses work????

can any body tell me if molasses works ?? and if it does.... how?????? thanx

i started using it about a month ago and have had nothing but better looking plants black strap molasses is carbs if you buy something like advanced nutrients carbo loader you will see its mostly molasses i have bud candy right now and it has molasses in it too but it was a lot more then $3 a bottle. also this is for a soil grow if your not in soil don't use it

molasses is the shit and the secret ingredient in many nutrients...

earth juice molasses is what i use as an additive to my bloom along with cutting edge solutions (I'm in hydro) budswell, fusion bloom enhancer and gravity bud hardner and purple maxx .

molasses is a carbohydrate that the plant can easily use for energy and robust growth ..... wouldn't dream of not using it.

DONT OVER DO IT I USE LIKE 100ml ( double shot) in a 70 gallon reservoir.. in soil if you add to much you will invite mold, bugs etc.

more is not better as with most things dealing with weed start at low end and ad up if you need it.. always start with the low end of the instruction label ALWAYS. you can add more if you need it but its hard to take it away....with any nutrient.

Yes it does work, I have found that once the buds slow down on their flowering cycle it works great to add molasses, it will give the buds a much nicer structure once dried and makes them pack on the weight. Therefor your finish product your harvest will be larger than without it in most cases, it also makes for a denser bud and in a way more sweet taste than the natural taste of a soil grow! I use promix for media(soilless) and use budcandy through out veg and flower at different ratios. voo doo for my great white shark(beneficials) and bud candy for the voodoo.
Why wouldnt you use it in any thing else?
I use 9 ml every gallon, every time......

did drskunk not say he used it in his resevoir? i'm guessing that means hydro buddy. i think u would have to mix it with warm water tills it totally dissolved and just use a little at a time to avoid sticking up ur water pump and stuff.

I use it every watering in organic soil - 3 Tbsp per 5 gallons.
In addition to adding carbs, my secondary benifit is the feeding of my micro beasties in the soil.

I got shut down when I said molasses was bad for hydro. I know some use it. I also know it will mess up a bubble grow in a hurry. I use it in all my other growing. if no one said . The molasses helps the microbes in the soil and in turn the microbes help feed the plants.

i keep hearing that molasses is good for a grow, but that just sounds like trouble to me.

it sounds like it would feed all the things you don't want to grow in your tanks. I'm a fan of Big Bud from Advanced Nutrients. Makes sense that it works well since it's made for MJ.

I've always thought molasses was for baking, not for growing LOL great cookies, bad pot

must be able to. I have for years. I just dont use alot in veg about a tsp per gal and about 2 in flower.

Can you use regular molasses that you buy at the grocery? Also, do you guys pour the molasses directly into the soil or do you mix into water first? I'm currently using FF Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom in my flower cycle but would love to add molasses into the mix if I knew more about it.

molasses works great, use it all the waythru from veg,, use 2 tbls per gallon once a week, also just switched to sub cools soil, i add mychorizza so they need the molasses, also really perks up the plant i dont use it the last week of flush...

i use molasses from the store and i mix it in water before adding..
in hydro it can muck up your pump,,in hydro i use sugar in the raw still naturall but with less sticky molasses..
oh also i mix in a cup of warm water to dissolve sugar and molasses before i add it to my feeding water
