Does fox farm nutrients go bad after time????

I have a bottle of fox farm grow big 12-7-7, A friend gave it to me unopened but he said its close to 7 yrs old, is it GOOD OR BAD, please give opinions and knowledge,

I'm sure his reason for giving it to you is the same as the advice- when in doubt, don't use it. Don't mess around with old fertilizers. When a fertilizer goes really bad, it can get even more dangerous to humans and of course toxic to the plants. If you really need to see if it's still good, try calling the company via the number on their website and ask how long that fertilizer lasts.

Ok thanks,good idea. I called and they said as long as it doesnt stink like rotten eggs or somethin then i should be fine, so yea, im going to feed my plants now, hopefu;;y all goes well

7 years is really old. i had some grow big that was almost 2 years old and it was opened. it started off green but at the end it was brown green. my friend had an umbrella plant that was malnourished and we threw some of the brown grow big on it and the next day it had perked right up. 7 years is really long but i would use it if i had nothing else. it was unopened.

yea I used it on all my widow clones last night, they grew over night!! so its still good, thanks guys, 7 yrs and still good, fox farm is great!!

Old nutrients expire because the salt separates from the mixture, i boiled mine and i think it made them a little better. And yeah, definitely give them a good shake because most of the useful nutrients is settled at the bottom.
