Does baking soda prevent mold?

I am a complete newb to this, 1st time grower. I was reading about powdery milder on plants & how I should spray the leaves down with baking soda once a week to prevent it. I would hate for my plants to get something bad like that or even worse mold D: How do you prevent your plants from getting mold other than good ventilation? Is there a concoction that you use regularly? Or does baking soda prevent that too?

Keeping your room humidity in check always helps. You can foliar feed with a light application of Aquashield or other beneficial microbe solution, but don't foliar feed shit if you have an HPS light. Mold and mildew is pretty rare as long as you keep your environment proper. Prevention is key.

I have had powdery mildew before and its a tough one to get out of your tent once its there.I found a thread about it on here(don't remember what forum)that says that a 10%milk to water solution works I have been doing this since and have no more powdery mildew now if the milk is why I do not know but I'm chalking it up to that...good luck
