Does anyone use these inlines?

Are they super loud?

Will it be enough to intake/exhaust my 32x32x60 tent? (aka 45 CF)

I guess I could still step it up to the 6 inch ones, same deal just bigger...but if I can get away with the 4's I'd rather try it since I'll be replacing them eventually anyway.

I know they're just booster fans or whatever, but I have read a lot of people saying they work just fine, especially in a sealed environment like a tent. Someday I'll upgrade to a carbon filter/nice fan combo, but for now, this is what I can afford.

i use it to suck outside air inside my cab mine works great and blows a lot of air for its size i think. i use a 4 inch inline fan to suck the air out of the top i paid 120 for it with a sound muffler thingy that goes over the fan

I have the same one only mine is a six inch and pulls 250 CFM and I can barely tell it's on. These little booster bastards are awesome. Then again, mine is from Home Depot but it's the same thing. Maybe you should get one from HD instead. For a 6 inch/250 cfm it was only 29.99 but I had to wire it myself. It's made a big difference keeping the temps down in my 2,000 watt 10x5x7 tent. Maybe I'll post some photos of how I have it set up.

P.S. YES it should be plenty for such a small tent.

i use 2 of them to cool my 600w... if they are more in the middle of the duct work they are pretty quite but anywhere near the open end and they have some noise. I would personally rather have gotten a inline turbo fan... they are really quiet for how much air they move

Thanks buddy! I could get one from home depot, but it seems to be the same price as the HTGS one, (minus shipping of course) but theirs is all wired up and saves me the worry that I fucked something up haha. The extra few bucks for shipping and the peace of mind that it was wired right will help me sleep better at night :]

Thanks guys, I'm so stoked to finally get a tent. My room now isn't very air tight, not at all really. It'll be awesome to see how my plants come out once I get some proper ventilation and grow space setup for them.

The cfm ratings on these duct fans are grossly over rated and should not be used to pull air through a carbon filter but as far as ventilation they are great.

I'm not so worried about a filter. NL and Master Kush don't have any stink until they've been in the jar for 3 months ;)

you need a out take as well and you need to worry about smell.. thats how most growers get busted because of carelessness from the smell. when it flowers you WILL be able to smell it...

inline booster fans are quiet just the way they are shaped, but you can forget using them if you have a carbon filter. they cant handle the pressure. That's why inline centrifugal fans are popular because they are quite powerful and can overcome resistance caused by carbon filters and ducting, although they are loud.
