Does anyone out there use Miracle Grow All Purpose Plant Food?
If so how much do you mix in one gallon of water?
The directions say to use 1/2 teaspoon per gallon for indoor plants OR 1 Tablespoon for outdoor plants.
Which do you prefer? Have you experienced Nute burn? What soil do you use?
I am using Scotts Premium Potting Soil with a 20% perlite. I ph my water and have plenty of lights, but I still have yellowing on my lower fan leaves and it is getting worse.
I havent used any Nutes yet... Any help would be appreciated.

There are nutrients in the Miracle Grow, also check to see if the nutrients you are using are time released. If so, change it. Also the soil you are using also have nutrients in it....so with the combination of Miracle Grow and the soil mix...you are over-fertilizing your babies. You may be over-watering them also. Flush your plants with at least 2 gallons of water for each gallon of soil. Only water when needed (soil is a bit dry) and fertilize 1 every 2 weeks or when needed. A good tool to invest in is a Nutrient Tester....well worth the investment. That way you don't have to eye-ball or play it by ear. Check with your local nursery for a tester.

I havent used any of the Miracle Grow All Purpose Plant Food yet.
The Scotts Premium Potting Soil I am using does have nutrients in it. So far my babies have only received nutrients from the soil. The only thing I have given them is ph'ed water.
I am considering using the all purpose plant food for the first time but I was wondering how much to use. 1/2 tsp OR 1 TBSP?
I have a moisture meter and over-watering isn't a problem.
Thanks for the help.

p.s. my girls are about 2 1/2 months old. My last repot was 1 month ago

After germination, when growing marijuana in soil, you should water feed (no nutrients) the plants for the first week or two. Almost all soil will contain some amount of fertilizer for the plant to feed on.
A minimal amount (or no) fertilizer should be added to the water for the first week or two. Then use a 50% solution for two weeks, then go to a 100% solution.

Plants are delicate at this stage and can go for a week or two with a minimal amount of food. At the maximum, use a solution that is no more than 50% of the strength of the recommended level.
That is, if the nutrient manufacturer recommends mixing one tablespoon of nutrient to every gallon of water, you should add less than half a tablespoon of nutrient to every gallon of water for the first two weeks after germinating.
Do not give your plants extra fertilizer thinking it will make them grow faster. Too much will kill your plants. If you under fertilize, plants will take longer to grow but will not die. Follow the mixing instructions on the package, if you aren't sure, use less rather than more.

Hope that helps

Dude, I use the stuff and its definately the 1/2 tea spoon (little spoon side), I think your ladies are old enough to get the full dose, but if you want to play it extra safe just use a little over half...I only use the stuff while in veg for flower I use other stuff...

I been using it over a year now in veg and i would agree with surfpunk go a head and give em some food. Depending on what, if any amendments were made to the soil they use it up in a couple weeks. Just remember to look at them every day if possible. The more you watch them the more you can get an idea of what they need. I would write it on a calender how much You mix and use.

Ive used it on my first grow, tsp per gall every 10 days or so. Dnt use the advised tblsp. its more than you really need, as most nutrient companies advised feeding amounts, usually are(trying to get you to go through the product faster so you need more, shady marketing techniques)
