Does anyone have any experience with UV?

Does anyone have any experience using UV in their crops or any serious study on this?

lots of people here use it. i use a couple of reptile bulbs in my 4x4 tent, there's quite a noticeable increase in trich production. guys with bigger areas tend to use the larger t5 uv bulbs, usually on a timer of their own as you can't leave the big ones run all the time

i put a 4 light T5HO fixture in my tent and started running it 15 mins ever hour for 6 hours. was too much, it was obvious in a couple nights.

now i am running 2 bulbs (50 w instead of 100) 15 mins every hour for 4 hours.

my bulbs are AgroMax 75%UVB/25%UVA and there is a most definite increase in frostiness

I use uva 385nm results of taste smell thrichromes etc good response

I like the Agromax 10,000k+uva bulbs as they can be run full time. Some say we are after uvb. In my experience the uva bulbs work good too.

The Agromax pure uv bulbs are 75% uvb and 25 uva. They need a separate timer. Like 15 minutes on each hour and they need to be like 3 foot from the canopy.
