This is for the benefit of the Little Slugger who obviously does not know the difference between obtuse and clever.
He's demonstrating for us the shallow understanding Progressives have of Conservatives. This is what Progressive tell each other about Conservatives when they talk to each other privately.
As anyone can see, there is no mention that the preceding statements apply to the comments of
all Progressives. These sentences clearly apply to
conversations only.
By channeling some bigoted dumb ass, he thinks he is stereotyping Conservatives when in reality he is stereotyping Progressives' innate unwillingness to understand anything beyond their own perceptions.
Now here we see the word
innate which the Little Slugger focused on with an intensity which would put
Rainman to shame. But again, this does not apply to
all Progressives. It applies to the
unwillingness to understand. And such unwillingness, regardless of its origins, may be
reversed, corrected if you will, through education thus bringing
understanding.
For the record this willful misunderstanding afflicts both sides of the Progressive/Conservative struggle. It is a key reason why political opponents often talk (or yell) past each other, rather than to each other.
So there you have it. I stand by my statement. It is tragic I feel compelled to explain a post which is plainly written in the first place.
