I'm curious if it has any affect at all on the flavor of the flower...I imagine the compound being in the plant matter should have some affect on the taste?
Well it's listed as odorless and that often means flavorless. Of course burning it could change whats going on there but I don't think it contributes to the taste of smoked flower.

Purp is its own flavor, lots of purple strains have the "purp" flavor but it's flavor molecules not pigments, not aromas, not photosynthetic cells, that cause flavor.
