i am curious to see how many people use a microscope when harvesting, or if they judge by eye.... if you judge by eye tell me some tips! if by microscope they when do you prefer? thanks.

I try to use both methods at the same time. I usually start to monitor with scopes until I see the trics turning cloudy......then I step back and start watching the plant and try to see the amberish tinge. I grow indoors but moving my plant into the natural sunlight allows me to see the amber tone the plant starts taking on.

judging by eye i think works best. if you stare at enough trichs different strains start to look the same

I use a microscope exclusively. I have never had a plant that had the trichs I wanted under the microscope not look visually ready. I have had plants that looked visually ready not have the trichs developed that I want. The microscope is always dead on. I am a medical user (Pain) and prefer 1/2 Amber or better.

i usually wait until most of the pistils coming off the calyxes are orange/brown and curling back into the plant
