Do you REALLY know who your dealing with??

This story will make you think twice about meeting dealers and buyers in remote locations. :peace:

Two men who set up a fake drug deal to lure a cashed-up buyer to a remote place so they could kill him and his nephew and steal their money have been sentenced to life behind bars.
A Supreme Court jury last week found Trevor Harry Griffiths, 32, and Garry Allen Playford 38, guilty of the murders of Paul Black and his nephew, Adam Smith.
The men carried out the plot in New Beith, south of Brisbane, in January 2009.

Playford was also found guilty of unlawfully wounding a third man, Richard Brunelle, whom he shot in the leg during the incident.
Justice Glenn Martin sentenced both Griffiths and Playford to life imprisonment on Monday for the two murders and ordered they serve at least 20 years before being eligible for parole.
Playford was also sentenced to six years for the unlawful wounding conviction.
He received smaller sentences for a range of drugs and weapons offences, while Griffiths was also sentenced for a separate drug offence.
The drug offences relate to an underground hydroponic lab police found in a shipping container buried in Playford's yard while they were looking for the bodies of Mr Black and Mr Smith.
During a 15-day trial last month, the court heard Griffiths and Playford pretended to have 80 pounds (36.3kg) of cannabis, which they arranged to sell to Mr Black for $200,000.
They later agreed to sell half of it for $100,000 on the first occasion, and the rest on a subsequent day.
When Mr Black and Mr Smith arrived, Playford pulled out a sawn-off rifle that had been converted into a pistol and shot Mr Black once in the head and Mr Smith twice.
The court heard it was likely both men, who had bullets lodged in their brains, died immediately.
Prosecutor Ben Power told the court during sentencing that both victims' young children did not yet know how their fathers died.
"I understand that the families are still grappling with how they will tell the children about how their fathers died," he said.
"It is a very difficult problem to confront: whether to tell them, as I understand they've not been told because they are small children at present, that there was a death in a car accident or whether to tell them that their fathers have been murdered."
Justice Martin told the men that their actions had devastated their victims' families both emotionally and financially.
"I have read each of the victim impact statements," he told Playford and Griffiths.
"They are very moving and reveal the sad lives these families now lead."

I hate when I get shot trying to buy 40 lbs of medicine.
I understand you sarcasm but I am talking on a smaller scale.. people get ripped off and shot at over dime bags and $10 just because they didn't have a safe way to get their meds

is it just an american thing where dealers hangout the streets and ask random people they dont know to buy their stuff?because iv never heard of it happening anywhere else, not being a dick im just curious 'cause it just seems like a real "not smart" way to sell, and get caught by U.C cops, shot for a $10 etc .i mean would you REALLY go and meet some guy you never meet with $500+ and buy weed? if yes then you deserve to get caught

When they closed down the coffeeshops near the border between Belgium and the Netherlands, dealers started hanging out by the closed coffeeshops trying to sell their stuff to anyone that comes within 10 meters of the place...first hand experience...and those guys don't care if you are over 18, don't care about product quality, and also carry hard drugs...the country is gonna go to shit when the weed pass becomes mandatory...
Also, when I was in Belgium, I ended up in the wrong neighborhood (NOT far from the "right" neighborhood), and I was approached by four different dealers within about 15 minutes...two of them were rather pushy...got the feeling that they were gonna rob me the second they saw my wallet...

Drugs and Crime often go hand in had due to the nature of their profitability. If you make bad decisions the ramifications maybe difficult to avoid.

Yeah it's bullshit. My sister got shot by some nig in minneapolis tryin to sell a bag. Luckily she recovered after they pulled the buckshot out. Missed her vital organs by fractions of an inch. I'm gonna get my conceal and carry this year just in case. I know it's just askin for trouble if you wave a gun around but I'll probly get one of those suspender holsters and wear it underneath my clothing. Anyone know the laws about getting busted with pot and a gun if you have a permit to carry it?

Read ATF form 4473 very carefully.
If you're not purchasing from a FFL dealer, then you've avoided one pitfall, but dimes to doughnuts your CCW stipulates that you cannot be a Cannabis user and obtain said permit. That being said, I believe a case is before the Oregon Supreme court that will decide the issue there.

The short answer is mostly No.

Real deals are done in the open. I like walmart parking lots. Always busy lots of eyes and cameras. So if there smart everything will go down smooth or they will get caught.

That's also why we still carry and use guns in the South... If you try to rob us, u'd better be real quick, 'cause we will rob u back! lol! But, to avoid all that bs, just grow yer own... It'll probably keep u out of sticky situations like that in the first place...

I have my CCW, but since Im in MS, an open-carry state, I dont really even need one, but since I do alot of work in Membabwee, or Memphis, I have the permit so I can come home safely every night. Carjackings, murders, rapes, robberies, and shit like that are an everyday occurance in M-town, which is why most of the hard-working, good folks dont live there for the most part, anymore... I'm sure it just depends on the cop man... If yer car is considered to be an extension of yer home, as it is in MS, it shouldn't matter... If Im in my car, my stainless .357 Mag is with me, no matter where Im going or what Im doing... And if Im on my way to my buddies place to do some hunting or target practice, then I likely have my AK and M4 with me, as well... So, u gotta watch yer ass if u r a criminal down South... Itz that time u leave it on the nightstand that u will likely actually need it... If u r in a situation of life or death, then protect yourself first, and worry about the weed second, I say...

Dont "wave yer gun around" if u or if yer sister decide to start carrying. That is a charge called brandishing a firearm, and u will not have your CCW's very long if u do this... Concealed is probably the best way for u to go... I carry open, because, well, Im in the South, and dont give a shit... Like Wyatt Earp and all... And when u go buy your "suspender" holster as u call it, ask for a shoulder holster, as this is what u r looking for, and the gun store clerk hopefully wont think u dont know what u r talking about, and try to sell u the most expensive holster rig they have so he can get a nice bonus courtesy of a newcomer to the gun-game...

silly countrys with silly gun laws,, madness,,and yes in the uk here we do have the blacks trying to sell anyone anything, but we dont have the gun and meth issues u lot do in the tsates and in australie,
at the end of the day the dude agreed to go out into a quiet location with to strangers with 100k im sorry but to me thats rather stupid,,corret it should never have happened but this is the life we choose,SO U WANNA BE A CRIMINAL? hmmhmm hopefully sum1 reading this will take note and not make the wrong decision

Yes the 3rd person Brunelle escaped after being shot in leg and informed police, Playford must have been too slow reloading the shot gun and with a live witness gone their fate was sealed, if they got the 3rd guy and got rid of the bodies they could have told police the deal never took place.

I believe it was a chopped down rifle according to the news release.

You do have same if not worse meth probs in UK. The men involved were white not 'blacks' and the killers would have done a deal with victims previously as they were hydro growers with an underground shipping container, they just decided to do things differently this time as they were in financial trouble.

You really need to try out holsters before your buy. shoulder holsters are a pain to deal with, and vary rarely are they really "concealed"

Go with a good "ITWB" In The Waist Band holster, like a Crossbreed. pricey, but worth it.
