Do you need to flush when growing organically?

It'll be insane this year, in two weeks that is, the last Queensday and crowning of our new King 'and' Queen on the same day. Next year it's Kingsday, 3 days or so earlier, but we'll get as drunk, as baked, and of course as orange.

The closed the city for the world cup when I was there too! each time you guys won, everybody got pretty much a day off lol.

Nics pics Such a small and crowded country yet there's always a place like those dunes nearby. If the weather were better here those dunes and beaches would be packed with people "baking" in the sun.

I've never been in Utrecht without going to Andersom, and never been to another coffeeshop in Utrecht. Especially the basement gives it that classic coffeeshop feeling. Now that I think if it, haven't been there in 3 or 4 years already.

People go nuts here during such soccer tournaments, and once they reach the quarter or semi finals nearly everyone becomes a soccer fan and the box with orange props is opened again

You're right, I remember, there were so many people going to Amsterdam that they continued the celebration and party even though they didn't won - they didn't want to disappoint alllll those people.

Last summer we had something similar with those dunes and beaches (e.g. Zandvoort and Scheveningen), couple of great summer days and all the roads to the dunes were filled with cars. News broadcasts requesting people to stop going in that direction

And hell yeah you guys are NUTS about soccer! Made me really like it haha when before I thought it was a weak sport!
And we vacation up in the Noord during the PEAK of the winter haha so there was snow and everythin was extra cold, but it was the prettiest thing I've seen to date!

It's been too long since I've been there, need to go to Utrecht in June and will definitely visit. I used to buy the same hash there every time but don't remember what it was, probably just their Super Pollen. My wife says that the other coffeeshop is, or at least was, named Black and White. Can't remember ever being inside, just that it seemed very small from the outside.

I'm going to, gently, pass that on to a few organic growers here. Especially when wanting to flush two weeks it becomes hard to figure out when to start flushing, i.e. it's easier to see when they have only a week or days to go. Because some of my plants needed up to a week longer than expected to flower, they were also flushed longer than planned/necessary. Best yield so far, so no regrets, but would have been an interesting and simple (taste-) test to not flush a couple of my plants.

Yep it was Black & White. Was like rasta colors and it wasn't a sit down place lol, it was a walk up & buy haha!

Just smoked some semi dry Critical Jack that I just harvested!


I gave it and AACT about 5 days before harvest with the last watering coming the day before harvest, but that was plain H20.
Smokes clean and burns white bro! I've also got some local grown Super Lemon Haze that my buddy brought over this weekend to hold me over until 4/20(when Jack will be dry).
Its not organic and I don't know how or if it was flushed, but the ashes burn darker and it leaves a bit o a taste in my mouth, when my weed leaves no SMAAK!
It's so good to be able to see the differences man.

And it's funny lol, growing was THE LAST thing on my mind over there haha.

I used to grow on and off just for fun, but nowadays it's also so I don't need to spend money on buying the better quality. Super Lemon Haze goes for a minimum of 12 euros a gram nowadays, about $15, and for A'dam that would be cheap.

& here the prices go by how well you know the grower or dealer haha. Could be 250 an ounce. Could be 400 haha

And yeahh...Didn't really like the dam....Was better in Utrecht or Amersfoort or Nijmegen or Soest lol..

I hope I can find some decent meds and high quality hash is my main target. Wheres the best hash shops you visited? Maybe we should start a holland med travel thread to help others share this great info. Most people (myself included) don't have all the time they would like there so getting straight to the better locations will help maximize the experience! DANK YOU travelers

Nijmegen! Isolate hash will fuck you up more than anything else in that country haha! And it's only about an hour from dusseldorf! Maybe a little more on the train!
But I SWEAR that NOTHING will F you up as much lol. And check out the black widow if you can find it!

Have to agree on the cheaper part as well a visiting other cities. Going to the Netherlands and only visit Amsterdam is like going on vacation to Florida and visitting only Disney World.

But quality-wise, most sell largely hastily grown and dried weed or just crap, which in A'dam with over 200 coffeeshops means a whole lot of places where you should 'not ' buy weed. So it comes down to knowing where 'not' to buy, and even then you have to filter the menu with some educated guessing.

Nearly every well known shop is 'not' where you should go. The larger ones (in expensive buildings at the main canals) are usually not the places to go. The 'famous' and oldest etc, not the places to go (anymore).

I could recommend a few but your miles may and likely will vary. They sell so much on a day in Amsterdam, even at the smaller shops what's seems good today may be from a different harvest/grower/batch tomorrow. I've been there a hundred times at least but most shops I've never been, and most of the rest I only tried once or twice - and that's over more than two decades. Ask two people what the best shops are and you will get two different answers.

I do think going to the known as well as random shops is part of the going to Amsterdam ritual, but the price is indeed not an indication of better quality. The main difference with most other cities is that they don't have to compete as much for returning visitors, they have an endless stream of customers (and busy doesn't necessarily mean good). Amsterdam does have however quality control, so overpriced and not the best quality, likely 'clean' nevertheless.

Hash-wise you'll first have to pick between local and import hash, with the major difference that local hash has roughly twice the THC of weed and little CBD, while import hash (often from North Africa) has low THC but high CBD. Most common Dutch hash is pollen, and super pollen, but the quality varies a lot, and sometimes the super is anything but super (or just some cheap Morrocan hash sold as pollen).

I can't really recommend good hash in amsterdam, I almost only buy and smoke relatively cheap pollen from a local shop in my town (besides my own ice hash of course ). Nearly any city has a one or more shops owned by a Moroccon guy, ask him for his best hash. Used to be a cliche years ago, when the owner had a piece of his best hash in his pocket rather than under the counter. That's pre-isolator times though

Based on your awesome threadjack advice I stay in Amserfoot for Friday evening and night in a hotel near the centre, and to stock up before going to expensive hasty quality land. Again much appreciate all your detailed advice, especially on the "where not to waste your time/money" angle. My friend is studying in Eintoven so I hope I will get to hit some or most of the locales you mentioned on the way and sample some "true" (not greed grown) dutch herb and hash and hash from all over the world. Can't wait to compare the THC to CBD rich hashes as you mentioned as I am both a rec user and a chronic pain med user! Cheers, (clinking pipes together not boose jars!)

And I only had the luxury of getting some Dutch Pollen once in two years??? Most the hash I smoked was Moroccan!
And in Amersfoort you'll find Morrocan hash in a coffeeshop called "trench town" ask the police and they'll give you directions haha!
That ALWAYS tripped me out!
Also ask for the zoo coffeeshop to see if they stil have that Mr. Nice Black Widow! The strongest weed I smoked over there haha.

And Utrecht is 25 mins or like 3/4 train stops from Amersfoort bro.
And when you go into the shops being American, they'll let you look thru the weed and pick your own out if you make nice!
So being a grower, you'll know what to look for! I wasn't a grower then lol, just a wicked smoker!

And like Sat. said, don't pay top dollar for something unless you have to have it!
You can find AK47 and Jack Herer and White White for 7/8 euro a gram in Amersfoort.
I often went with the 3g of Jack Herer for 18euro!

But yeah lol, maybe a Mod can move this to TNT and change the title to "what to do in the dam" lol!

Eindhoven as well as Nijmegen which Sincerly420 mentioned are near the southern border, where many many people from Belgium and France frequently go to stock up. Unlike Amsterdam that serves mostly tourists of which few end up in exactly the same coffeeshop years later. Many growers in that area too. Raids nearly every day.

"greed grown" I got to remember that one. Sums it up nicely. Works well for greed breeders too (that part about needing to finance expensive buildings... goes largely for the little tourist/souvenir seed shops as well, you'll know when you see them).

Though that sounds like a good time I'm already going next week (Queensday) and probably need to work this weekend. What might be useful though if I suggest a route. Amsterdam center is pretty large and stretched out and you can waste a lot of time just walking. I often need to catch the last train back in time (around midnight already) so I made a thing of making my trips to A'dam efficient. It's basically a coffeeshop tour from central station back to central station but does cover most of the popular squares, streets, and of course 'district'. I could probably do that on Google maps or another map, I'll take a stab at that later today.
