I got a cockapoo X Black Lab, but he pulled completly from the black lab, so he looks like a mini black lab. Smart and loving as hell.

the stripe serves no purpose really, its just a trait that was bred into the original line, the hair actually grows against the grain. great dogs, i would recommend them to anyone, but not to someone who doesnt own a decent chunk of land or no time. they require alot of running bc they are filled with energy and a high prey drive, they are also a bit stubborn- they are no way like my chocolate lab i had. i could make my lab do 100 tricks for one treat, but the ridgebacks, if you make them do it a few times they seem to act like its not worth the bother and will look at you like your stupid.

Hey i'd rather say it and be wrong then to see some strange connection and never say anything. But seriously, everywhere I go where someone grows they got a black dog. I just thought of someoen else I know. Black Dogs. I don't get it.

I thought there was a connection to growers/smokers/dealers and pitbulls.

my dog is a black lab n rottweiler mix...looks like a beefy all black lab wit a blocky head n wide shoulders...shes a beast...barks like a monster licks ur face like a puppy all day long.....my best buddy (grows...) has her brother from a litter younger than hers...hes taller but still beastly..... both all black...ur on to somethin detective tardis...
