DO YOU GOT TO COOK SOIL FOR 30 DAYS BEFORE USING GH PRODUCTS

yea do you got any for just 10 gal I got 2 5 gal smart pots
sure, that's an easy one.
two 5 gal smartpots is really closer to 8, considering you can't fill them 100%, nor would you want to, you want room for topdress/mulch.
you are doing a small one cubic foot grow (approx. 7.5 gal).
Those are gravy to do, but first and foremost you need to acknowledge that the soil must be aged, no way around that. Period. Many growers make a perfecty useable soil but simply aren't patient enough and end up with fugly plants...
the soil is a simple 33/33/33 makeup, meaning it's broken down to three even parts
one part compost/EWC
one part aeration
one part peat moss
To make it easy lets just round your total soil to 9 gallons, that's 3 gallons each of
peat, preferably untreated with d-lime.
compost or vermicompost ( prefer a 50/50 mix of the two)
and aeration (more than 33% is ok here) perlite, vermiculite, volcanic rock (preferred), pumice (preferred), biochar (preferred), oyster shells, and my favorite rotten wood chunks

then add the following amendments
one cup of neem meal
one cup of kelp meal
one cup of crab meal
half cup of fish bone meal
half cup of alfalfa meal.
-then minerals
one cup of oyster flour
one cup of gypsum
one cup of rock phosphates
one cup of granite dust
--- my optionals are bio char, rotten wood chunks, insect meal, coarse coco hair, oyster shells.
like I mentioned though, the secret weapon is a good homemade compost and homemade EWC.
any questions just holler

that's hard to say man, but if the calmag helped I would speculate the problems was that.
To put things into perspective though I have never even bought a thing of cal/mag. never had problems, but I have used well water for the last ten yrs, so that could be why.
The type of water you have usually dictates if you need to tweak anything, I just don't have any experience with that, never had to.

Diagnosing your plant problems, handy little tool in my experience:

IMO coco is a very helpful addition. You can use it instead of peat moss as well. It is significantly less hard on the environment, highly renewable. Very good cation exchange rates, great drainage and moisture retention. I'm a big fan of it.

those are all fine, the neem cake looks a little different than what I have seen, those are sorta granular, you want it more like meal, like powder kinda.
To be safe maybe see if you can fine the neem somewhere else.
