*Do you feed ya plants after 5 weeks?

Hello Guys,

My question is on your feeding of your plants and this applies more to Hydro.

I feed my plants which they love right up to about 5 weeks,

This is the time that on the nutes bottles they say feed higher amounts, bloom simulators, and Tabzz flowerings enhancers....l love these boosters!

The only problem is i find that my plants don't really feed that much after 5 weeks!

It's like they only want water because my EC goes up each day so from 1.8 EC it would be 2.4 EC after about a week so if anything i'm maybe wasting my money lol


I just don't get it especially when you hear that you should flush in the last two weeks???????????? and the nutes bottles give opposite information to add more nutes in the last two weeks???

What do another hydro people out there find?

No replies i should make my question a little bit easier to understand lol.


Does anyone feed there plants nutrients?

Or do you just use plain water from start to finish....

I personally feed em up until a few days before harvest. Never had any issues with the lack of nutrient uptake after week 5 of flowering, though.

OK thanks for the reply, is that hydro what type of system you running,

Myself i run a recirculation system maybe that is the reason, i do always change the water completely and put in fresh nutes.

Anyone else??

I agree a little confusing.I will occassionally not feed the last 2-3 weeks.There is plenty of food for the buds in the leaves.Let the plant turn on itself and you will have some great smoke.Really whatever works for you.

Yes your right it is confusing, I don't have a problem and i'm getting great yeilds so it can't be a problem....

Just wanted to know, maybe it's all a bit of bull to make people buy into the fancy flower boosters when in fact they may well not even need it...''

I think i will just carry on from week five my plants could go right down to EC of 1.4 with no probs it's almost like they are telling me to start flushing them out of nutes!!!
