Do you eat for taste or nutrition?

I choose both, I eat nutritious foods that taste good... It's easy to do because fresh fruits and vegetables are delicious and easy to prepare...

Hey Shannon, what are two of your favorite healthy recipes?

I love food and I love cooking, but most of the stuff I cook is for taste, which means you can eat a SINGLE SERVING when it all tastes so damn good and your body insists on going back for 2nd's and 3rd's!

If it wasn't necessary to eat I wouldnt I hate it even the damn tastiest foods
Whaaaaat? Food is so damn tasty! Why do you feel this way?

I can appreciate that though, I'd like to live independent of anything my body can't provide itself, but I think that would defeat one of those scientific laws.. I used to think of ways to create something to ensure I never ran out of H20, O2 and fooooooooooooooooood, but never came up with anything.. So until I figure out a way to use photosynthesis, I'll keep this thread posted...

Sorry to hear that man, while I don't have a food addiction myself, I can definitely see how someone could become addicted to it, in a way, it's a lot easier to relate to a food addict than a drug addict, as everyone experiences food cravings themselves, just in different ways. I've always thought this was the best analogy to use when describing drug addiction.

Is it bad for you, like once you start, you're unable to stop? I've seen a few cases where it just gets out of control, 600+ lbs! I think if I ever reached 300lbs I'd tell myself enough is enough! I couldn't even imagine reaching 5..600lbs! In my mind, that would take years of abuse, and at this stage, even 6 months of abuse is just about all I'm able to take, be it drugs, food, alcohol... anything I've experiences so far (luckily..)..

Nice, that's kind of how I've been doing it, eat what you want, just in moderation.. Lately though, within the past 6 months (winter), I've internally said 'fuck that' and have eaten what has tasted good! Bad decision! Live n learn though! Just because it's cold out doesn't mean you can eat yourself to fatness! I've gained a good 50lbs since last summer over this winter, which I expect to lose this spring/summer!! I'm up near 225lbs right now, my normal weight should be around 175lbs-180lbs! Food is just sooo damn good! Especially when it's fried!! Dude, I am no slouch when it comes to food!

BUT! There are a ton of healthy, tasty alternatives! Sub ground turkey for ground beef, sub peas for potatoes, sub olive oil instead of butter, etc. so that tends to work for me!

As far as I know, you can live a pretty healthy lifestyle being a vegetarian. I know some types of cancers are associated with eating red meats, too, so eating a vegetarian diet, you'd likely avoid that type of scary shit.

Myself, I've never tried it, so I can't give an accurate first hand account, but plenty of people live that lifestyle and they're just as healthy as anybody I know.

To tell you the truth, deep down, I think it's pretty fucked up what we do to animals just so we can eat them, and what makes it even worse is the sick and twisted internal rationalization I have for it as "well, duuuuh, I gotsta eat don't I?..." if it was me running around a few miles to catch and spear a deer or something I'd likely feel much different, but the shit is literally placed in front of you on a silver platter... How much less of a man can you be subjected to?? Many less people would be here if this were the case, probably even me, but those that did survive would be the strongest, and the dummies would die off.. anyway, at this point I'm not sure how we ended up talking about necessary exterminations n such.. BUT! I do know I'm getting pretty fuckin' stoned!

Trust me, I feel you! It sucks when you're completely dry.. Do you have any experience with growing? I've grown two crops myself, nothing special, learned a ton and met a bunch of cool people on this site along the way, but haven't had my own place to perfect it quite yet. It's a lot better than buying it though! Shit can get pretty expensive, especially considering what it is..

You can 'borrow' bud by asking your dealer "can you front me _____ til _____?", and he'll either be familiar with what that means and says yes/no or not. The goal on your part being to pay him on the exact day you say you will with the exact amount you said you would. Most dealers you'll have to buddy up to to get this sort of service. If you do, never miss the deadline or a payment! If you miss one, you can never, under order of stoner etiquette, ask to be fronted again! (for at least 6 months)

Agreed, all this pent up inspiration and ambition with nothing to use it on! Eh, more motivation to get your own place I guess. Just another advantage..

I could do so much with so little just because of what I've learned from this website, there are some seriously professional grade cannabis growers here! They've figured out how to get the absolute most out of the soil, the roots, the grow area, the grow space, the lighting, the containers, the airflow, the germination method, the planting method, the planting medium, the nutrients, everything!

I agree its fantastic what they can do with so little and even better they show us how to do the same!
