Hey .. Been seeing alot of grows with these cap controllers, want to know if any have burned out in the middle of a grow..? Or any good or bad experiences with it... It looks like it simplifies things but i dotn know how i feel about putting all my trust on 1 unit to control all of my variables...

I don't have any first hand experience with them but I have really never heard anything negative about them. I know they are really old school automation control technology which is proven relaible. They have been around for years and have a 3 year warranty.

CAP controllers are very reliable. I have used most of them and have never had an issue. I really like their lighting controllers. That being said, I would recommend using seperate controllers for each system whenever possible. Now, sometimes (CO2 and Exhaust Fan) it is better to have 1 unit control 2 systems for coordination reasons. But, with any multi system operation, seperate controls gives you the piece of mind that if one unit goes, it's just that system that fails. The other plus of seperate controls is expandability. Individual controllers can be easily added.

One item I always recommend is either a high temp light shutoff, or a high temp emergency exhaust fan. Both are under $100 and can save the whole crop in a cooling system failure. If you use the CAP lighting controller with a trigger cord, the high temp light shutoff is very easy to install. This is especially important on sealed rooms. It doesn't take a genious to figure out what will happen if the AC fails and 4K watts of HID lights are running in a sealed room.

I have nothing but good things to say about them, I have 2 greenhouse controllers and they make my life so much easier and I have the co2 controller hooked up to them. They have been in use for 8 or 9 years so far and not a single issue. I will buy their equipment again anytime. I wish my other shit was as reliable as CAP equipment.

If you put another tent between the two to act as your environmental Lung room you could just switch vents open and closed. Otherwise you will need all of the environmental support for each as well.

I received a greenair atmospheric controller today. Finally got the co2 up and running. Was thinking of cap controller but decided on the greenair. $200 at hydroempire. Ordered a backdraft damper also and put it in today also. Peeked in on em a lil bit ago and they were standing up reaching for the sky. I assume they are loving the co2.

Won't work as the cap controller is dedicated to only one 24 cycle.

I have the Green Air Propane burner and it works great. Clean the burner slots with a brass brush once a year.

I seem to recall hearing that there is some relationship between CAP, GreenAir and Sentinal. Like CAPs designer started Sentinal and GreenAir was a CAP partner or employee.

And yes CD they do love the co2. Run that baby hot @85f, keep the air moving around in there and the RH inline and watch the fireworks.... BAM!
