do you have to kill your plants if u want to bud them , u cnt just put them in flowering and pick buds as you please,?????????

is there a way you can jsut have 1 plant for like 3 years and keep getting you buds from it?

you can, but there is a reason people don't, one i think it takes longer to reveg a plant from flower then it takes to veg in the first place, and new plants are just stronger and better looking; if really wanted to keep a strain or something you can take off all the bud but make sure to leave as many leaves as possible so the plant gets some light for its vegging, good luck brotha

i did research on the subject, and found that you can totally re-generate your ladies. This can save you time, about a month faster than clones.Your plant has the basics in place, you just need to leave some leaves and small buds on her and throw her in 18 or 24 hrs of light for 3 weeks then back to 12/12.Killing the plant is cruel and un needed.I read about guys doin this many times. If you dont want to keep em do a quik reveg and donate them to a broke med user,{they will be stoked and probably kick you some of the finished product!} Good luck, dont kill em!Hbr

Several years ago I regened a columbian plant 4 times. I erred or it may still be alive today LOL. The plant looked extremely gnarly with almost black purple stems and only slightly lighter leaves and the trunk seemed to have bark on it.

I am revegging 12 saffron girls right now that I needed to take clones from. 6 of the girls tops died so I cut them off. The other 6 seem perfectly fine besides a few dead leaves. I am watching them closely to see if they herm on me. Almost all plant species will do something of that nature when they are taken out of their comfort zone.
Anyone ever grown any sally D? That plant is a plant that will take some abuse though. I grew 200 sally plants one time for fun, to test out my saffron growing skills. Good prep for a nice grow. The lights were off for three days while I was away.
Put the lights back on, fed them heavily and they all perked back up!

headband, when you say leave some of the nugs on do you mean like keep the growth tips? where shouls you take nugs from and where do you leave them on. could it be that if you take the nugs off then the plant has nowher left to form new leaves? could you possibly post links to where you got your information from?

I left many sites on my ladies{about an eighth atleast},hopin to make the start up process quicker.I am doing this right now for the first time,so based on what ive read they can be revegged with very little foliage, but i am leaving some extra lil lower buds that are basically worthless, they should turn to veg growth if im correct.I am gona veg them under 24 hr light for 2-3 weeks.and then chuck em outdoors and let them boof.I love the idea of reusing the plants.I only kill ones that are ill,all others are recycled.Good luck i wanna see those buds! heres my ladies 3 days after harvest Hbr

it dosnt look like there are any fan leaves left, did you cut them all off? also it looks like your gals could use some more soil, cant hurt to let the roots grow out, and the current soil probabally will b lacking some essentail nutes. i had my plants in containers that size and it was like they had stunted growth. then i bought some big ass bags of miracle grow moisture control and planted directly into the bag and they took off like a bad outta hell. anyway, keep me posted on your plants, my gals should be ready to harvest in a week or 2 and i would like to keep them alive if possible.

So do i have this right .. i can take off the buds as long as i dont mess with the growth tips?

People like this idea. Why grow the plant ALL OVER?!?! It took so long to get it that 2 months...

Guys, cloning and vegging a mother are easy steps that will reward you many times over trying to keep a plant barely alive and bleeding out tiny buds.

It takes just as long to reveg and reflower as it does to flower out a clone.
