Do I need to transplant before Flowering?

Hey guys, I think I may have screwed up a bit.
I transplanted these clones into these pots and thought these would be plenty big when I had these 2 little clones but now they look so small.
Going to start flowerin in the next month once I have a really nice even canopy going.
My question is will I screw myself if I flower in these pots? Don't want to get root bound or anything. I cannot for the life of me remember what size these are in gallons. but I measured them and they're 7 inches tall and 6.5 inches wide (at the top)

Let me know what you guys think. If they are too small I'm assuming I would need to transplant these girls into a bigger pot? Honestly super nervous about that. I've transplanted little clones from Solo cups into pots but never this big of a pot/this much soil.

(there is a measuring tape in the picture for reference. but it wasn't as clear as I thought it would be. The 1 foot mark is right above the measuring tape at the bottom for a size reference.)

Transplant them.

I grow outside and I use 30 gallon containers (pots and grow bags) and at the end of the season the rootball almost fills the container. I can grab the stem and pick up dirt and all out of the pot.

My theory is feed the soil, grow the roots, prune the plant , get rid of pests and/or disease/mold, and you will get a harvest. Taking care of the roots prevent a lot of problems for me.

Those look like 1 gallon. Transplant now to 3-5 gallon pots. Veg for a couple weeks in the new pots before flipping. Those are definitely not big enough. Especially if you want to veg for another month
Will do today.

Thanks for the info and ideas man!

For future reference while I have you guys on this thread. After I've rooted my clones in a Red solo cup or small pot with soil is it best to immediately transplant them into a large container? Or should I go in stages like Fresh clone showing roots into red solo cup for first time in soil, then transplant to 1 gallon, then transplant to 5 gallon?

Thanks for the help!

You can do either. I like to up pot a couple times. I go solo cup two weeks, 1 gallon two weeks, 4 gallon a few weeks then flip and flower in the 4 gallon. I prefer stages so it can have quicker wet/dry cycles.

I went from solo cup to 5 gallon on my first grow and it sucked lol. Read as much as possible, the question you asked has been asked/answered dozens of times on RIU. No harm in starting new threads though, sometimes you gotta ask in your own words.

Ya those look a little small. I'm using 15 gal pots. Last time I just put clippings straight into them with a homemade humidity dome over them for the hell of it. Tried it on my Green Crack first and it worked well and was super easy, so I did the same to a Sunset Sherbert clone a few weeks later. And here was a week ago.

Yeah I supposed the info would have been available with a quick google but I always find asking on forums gives situationally specific advice. Apologize for the redundant post!

Thanks for the help and info everyone!
Just grabbed some 4 gallon pots and will be transplanting tonight.

I go from solo to 1 gal to 5 gal fabric. I have no choice but to transplant at flip because I don't have room for 5s in my veg room. Been doing it forever without any problems at all. There obviously two separate rooms and perpetual.

Small update here.
Transplanted to 5 gallon and they handled it great. Seemed much healthier and more happy after transplant.
Thanks for the help everyone!

Ok. I'll bite I am growing my first 2 plants ever .....outdoors in 3 gal pots. When and how should I transplant? That being said I am growing basically to see If I can actually get them to harvest successfully.....then go a bit bigger next year.

If you can dig big holes in the ground and fill them with something like Fox Farm Ocean Forest. Other wise as big of containers you can. Not sure where you live but now or earlier.

Directly to ground is not possible. Right now I move them around to keep them out of shade and into sunnier areas. Later in the summer I will be moving them to another location.....maybe. Here are some photos.

They look very nice bud. There gonna get awfully big to be moving around. But I guess that's a good problem.lol You sould use AT LEAST 10 gal pots.

Would a Milk Crate lined with fabric make a decent container? I need to be able to move them around to better access sun during the day and to hide them somewhat from itchy hands at night as they get bigger.
