Do I need to stay on 12/12 while flowering

Will it shock the plant if I run the lights longer? maybe an 18/6?? Any vets please help as i am a newb.

LoL 18/6 is for veg..12/12 is flower......do some research man..you got some things to learn...go to the noob forum n read some stickys.!

oops this is noob forum i just looked at most recent posts....just start reading random threads and you will learn alot.!

If you check out the advanced marajuana growing forum in there you will find some people that are running 48 hour days where they have lights for 36hours and then darkness for 12hours.

I havent completely read the whole 48 hour days yet but people are experimenting with various things like this.

It is generally 12hours of darkness that the plants need in order to flower not the day length its just most people are only able to time a 24hour day.

Just something to maybe spark off a little imagination.

But the poster that mentioned 18/6 is for Veg is very correct and 12/12 is for flowering.

If you put your plants onto 18/6 then they will revert back to veg and you could end up doing more damage than good.

I have grown like that , it is fun but much less productive than what can be achieved. I mean no disrespect, but by this stage in your grow ( near flowering time ) u have had ample time to research and study on the essentials of indoor growing culture.

Take the time to study, and u will get even more enjoyment out of your hobby. And your plants will thank you too.

Helping people is what the forum is for but questions like this are considered the fundamental basics of growing indoors and i truly feel like this should have been something u are aware of at this stage in your grow ( not that we arnt happy to help anyways) . The time it takes for people to respond to questions could be the time it takes for the problem to kill the plants , so in future problems u encounter u might be punished for not having atleast a vague idea of what u need to do , you know what i mean?

Im not trying to bring u down just trying to help you realize the importance of knowledge like this when undertaking the responsibility of running controlled conditions on life forms that depend on you solely.

You need to stay 12/12 true some growers do longer light cycles but they are advanced growers as a noob you should keep it simple till you have some experience good luck to you

My girl is doing well at this point, The only reason I ask about the 12/12 is because some times I cant get to her in time to turn her off at exactly 12/12 . So some time she gets a bit more light. As I am a noob I appreciate all the help. I think her buds are getting longer than fatter so I was curious.

how long did u veg these girls?

u need to buy a light timmer and problem solved my man!

It was a clone, And I bought it from a shop I was not satisfied with , so I was a bit skeptic and turned her over shy of three month. But this was before I had a light system. All outdoor. I probably effed her up .
