If I do the auto route, I will hold off a little on the nutes, from what I have read they don't like them that much.

I wouldn't do auto to start. You aren't going to learn what you need to learn with autos. Just my two cents.

I totally agree with ya man...

Why grow an Auto "EVER"????

If you grow one plant in your life grow an auto...

The thing is, if you like growing autos... what you learn doesn't translate over to 'Normal Photo' period plants...

For any first grow... No Auto...

Get a nice Hybrid 60% + indica with a short photo period...

Once you grow... you'll grow again... May as well start with a Photo Period plant... cause your second grow will be... and your third...
Then you want to learn to clone... and you can't clone an auto...
Etc...etc....etc...

I love all the advice, gives me plenty to consider. You are right about not learning anything from the auto. Maybe I will just go straight to photo.

Heat was an issue in my 4x4 also, but once I got a sealed hood it made a world of difference controlling heat and humidity, and I run the same as tet carbon filter-ducting-sealed light hood-ducting-fan out the tent/room but I don't have an intake just passive from the exhaust on my 4x4x6 dr120.
I wish I bought a 5x5 at least....the 4x4 can fill up very quickly and if you have a 1000 watt you can always expand to a 4x8 with 2 k hps and floros for veg in the 5x5 for clones and mothers

The way to calculate fan cfm and carbon filter size is
width x length x height so my 4x4x6.5needs a fan of 104 cfm at least now think how quickly it can cool a space like a sealed light hood thats maybe only a few square feet it controls things nicely I would have to say one of the best things I got was sealed light hoods gives you a lot of control over the atmosphere in your tent and you can get a fan controller to the more cfm the better I have almost 200cfm for my 4x4 air movement is good

Correction you would need to establish a relationship with the out of state dr and get certified in that state for your condition but your dr in nj may be able to contact other dr but you see what I mean nj just makes it soo complicated for people in the state that need this medicine it really is unfortunate

lol. im not sure if this light has a sealed light hood? Its an ipower 600 watt hps/mh. its dimmable with a 6'' cooltube reflector and add on wings.

That ipower setup is quite effective for the price! I reccomend upgrading ur bulbs as soon as u have the money. the bulbs that come with Tge cheap combo lights are usually trash. good to have for a backup in case u blow a decent bulb.

Am I the only one (well probably I am) because all of you seem to grow, the dispensaries should be open 7x a week. What does a patient do if they run out on a Sunday?

I found a personal caregiver who seems promising for now! Until I can get the hang of this thing. Met with him yesterday, gave out a nice 4 gram sample of some strains and edibles. Anyone familiar with Green Poison? I think it was a freebie seed from what I have been seeing on the seed banks. It didn't disappoint. At least I can sample what I might be buying for seeds when I grow!

Does anyone on here know of a quality caregiver in the rockland area? I still haven't decided if this is who I want, the edibles were not good, didn't even get anything from them. I just want one quality caregiver! Im not a huge buyer, maybe $100 bucks a week, can anyone recommend someone who they know that actually knows how to grow and make edibles and doesn't charge $50 an eighth! Frustrated.

Wish I was closer dude. I charge half that and my edibles are awesome. I also have ready-made oil for brownies. I've found that the perfect amount of kief for a batch is 4.20g. Go figure lol
