Do edibles not work on some people?

I've had and made edibles that made me trip pretty hard.

They have made me uncomfortable a few times and on the verge of freaking.
Thats the feeling I expected each time I ate. Ive smoked for quite a few years, but know a lot of heavy smokers that can get too high/uncomfortable from edibles. Id like to get there.

I do to.

That batch of coconut oil I posted a pic of had trim and larfy buds from several strains. Some sativa, indica, and even auto flowers in it.

It has a very complex high with virtually no plateau. I was bouncing back and forth between a strong indica body throb and the headband stand and stare into the fridge for 20 minutes stone.

I was loosing track of time. I would drift off, not asleep, not awake and loose time.

I meditate. I do every time I hunt or fish. I sit and don't move a muscle for long periods of times. It zen and everyone needs to do it once.

Anyways, I tested the fatty meal.

I ate a blt with tomatoes and lettuce from the garden six hours ago. Five hours ago I took one tablespoon of the oil in my pic. I clarified it three times. Hardly any plant taste at all.

The affects are reaching their peak now and I will be high a few more hours.

Compared to the day before on an empty stomach, its much stronger and longer lasting.

No time to go through all the posts so sorry if redundant. I was just in CO and asked this exact question as they do not work for me. At two different shops they said the same thing - that 1 in about 8 people lack some enzyme or something in their liver that you need to process edibles....

I have found the lighter green to tan we have gotten is a meter of purity and potency. Like its butter hash.
I agree. The jar I posted is the best I've made yet. I make tinctures and salves to.

Take that coconut oil and put it on low heat to do a capsaison extraction on hot peppers and seeds to make a good joint and muscle rub.

I use this great herb for several medicines and even make edibles for family and others with cancer.

No medical here. No rec. I do what I do because someone has to.

Good for you and yours my friend. You got guts.

And my girlfriend is getting great at butter.

We always use the 2 oz to 1 lb of butter but a long slower 3 to 4 hours low boil.

And you can roll up the close bud trim and loose stuff and get high as a kite smoked in a joint so you know the butter will be strong.

i have eaten pounds, never got a thing, but it worked for everyone else.

could be a liver thing, good catch. i have a liver issue, and have had for years. it's why i won't be posting in a year or two. i'll either be an ocean forest or a happy frog by then.

liver could be a factor. i'm actually not getting much from smoking these days, though i smoke only once daily now. it's certainly not tolerance...

thc hits lungs..absorbed..goes to blood strwam, crosses bb barrier.,,

tincture, under yiur tongue gets absorbed, in blood, through bb barrier

tgat coconut oil..gers eaten, most is absorbed in yiur belly, through portal vein, across bb barrier

a liver nit functioning properly would potentiate cannabis.

the psychoactive components are already there...
with other drugs, say codeine, liver enzymes produce the more potent morphine..inhibiting with my mentioned grapefruit is counter productive,,patients with reduced liver function will need a higher dose, these patients woukd neef a lower dose of say hydrocodone...

cannabis activity on the other hand is nit related to liver function in this sense.
here impaired function would slow clearance

I hadda quit smoking for health reasons.

I decarb 3.5 grams high end bud in a pan covered with foil, 240 for 1 hour. I cut it up before dcarbing, and grind it up after. I don't make cannabutter as I don't want to lose weed in the process.

After decarbing, I bake it into any kind of baked good mix. There's a little taste from the weed but then I am not serving them as dessert.

One of these packs a pretty good punch, one and a half are about as much as I enjoy. I eat them on an empty stomach and wait and hour before eating anything substantial.

I miss, a little, handling herb and smoking it all the time, but I like the long lasting edible buzz, and that they are discreet.
