Yes, amateur troll hour. But it is you who keeps losing potential customers. Sad to watch the children ruin the family business with their hubris. I used to work for a guy with a similar attitude, he's no longer in business. Surprise, customers are important, even when they're piss off about shit from years ago. Good luck. But your grow pictures aren't really giving you much leverage either. Not all that impressive, imo.
Lets not forget, this is all about a plant....not business. No matter what spin anyone wants to put on it or no matter what business anyone wants to form around this, it's the plant that's in control...the plant is boss. No matter what happens to me or my families business, the plant will remain on it's course, I just need to attempt to keep up with the plant as much as possible.

We live in a time where many things need to be said that go unspoken. Many of those who will say what needs to be said may be vilified, we can't let that keep us from saying what we believe needs to be said.

And I'm quite proud of my grow journals, thank you. But to each is own, eh?

I've contacted both banks and heard back, I was asked not to post one of the emails and I will respect that. I have asked for permission to post the other email, it was not clear in the original, but I don't want to post something without consent.

I'm hardly a fucking troll dude. It's just not right to call people who are potential customers idiots and other shit. I pointed it out as well as some other glaring observations I've had while reading this thread. You don't like it so you lash out like a child it's ridiculous.

Have a great day JD, those banks got back to me in 3 hours of emailing them by the way.

* I have unsubbed from this thread, 2x and I keep getting alerts for some reason. After this post I will unwatch it again.

Damn one minute this thread is good and the next is to hell. I'm not getting on nobody or taking any sides but both sides have legitimate points. I don't know who sells legitimate DJ Short gear and I think thats whats most of the people are trying to find out who has the legit gear. Everywhere DJ gear is listed the price is outrageous so if the gear is cheaper than that let us know where we can get it for the right price. Most of the people who are complaining about this is not even in the states where things are easy to get the legit gear like Cali, Oregon etc.. so we have no choice but to go through the sites that list the gear. I know that DJ is one of the most faked but other but other breeders go through companies selling their gear when its faked and trust and believe that they make and effort to find out. I test for SinCity and we found a company selling the gear and nobody knew if it was legit Sin went out and contacted the overseas distributors and the seed bank to find out the deal and it was later confirmed that it was real. I think thats what everyone wants to see that y'all are trying to at least get this under raps cus the banks your claiming to have fake DJ gear are very legit and have been selling beans for many many years without many problems. But I understand both sides as I stated before but it just sucks that we all have to go through this when something can be done about it. Let me know where I can purchase legit gear but I'm in no way to get it from Cali or any of there other legit states.
I was just thinking about that. Tons of other american breeders on those seed sites and I don't hear sin city or bodhi telling people, "Tough shit if you thought you bought my beans because you didn't."

Im sorry for those who are not in the states or a legal jurisdiction to buy and source the genetics they want. But this isn't the sole problem of Old World Genetics to solve. If one must go through an internet site to acquire the seeds they seek then they must understand the laws pertaining to such matters. There is no way to verify what you're buying. And in most cases the genetics or seeds can't even be sold as seeds, so if you try and talk about your purchase as anything other than a souvenir you'll get nowhere. There is no legal recourse for selling bunk or unauthentic genetics, so what makes anyone think they have any right to demand that what they're purchasing is anything other than a souvenir? And what makes anyone think that this legal issue is Old World Genetics problem? Just because it's the most authentic genetic bank in the industry doesn't mean it's obligated to adjust the laws pertaining to your jurisdiction. I know this issues is frustrating, I can relate. We worked really hard to legalize cannabis where I live and we spent many years without many things that we could have had sooner if it were legalized.

As consumers we're taught to buy as local as we can get. If you want these genetics where you live, help change the laws. It's our obligation to future generations anyway. I just don't think complaining about the legitimacy of an illegal purchase made from the internet on an cannabis forum is going to get anyone the results OR genetics they're looking for.

And I haven't actually claimed ANY seed banks had unauthentic Dj gear. What I've claimed is that Old World Genetics does not work directly with any of these major seed banks and verifying the gear there isn't possible at this time. And I also said that if the gear offered at those banks was legit that it was bought and resold from a 3rd party without any involvement from Old World Genetics. And if this is the case the beans in question may have passed through multiple different countries to get where they're going and multiple different hands, hence the reflection in the astonishing mark up in price and the potential germination complications, all of which at that point Old World Genetics can no longer be responsible. We do our best to get the genetics to as many people as possible, but there is an entire framework that brings them to your doorstep. We're just the first step...
Believe me when I say I understand where you coming from and in no way was I attacking you or your fathers name and company in any way. I am not hating in any way shape or form. I was just simply stating some points some of us in the community have. Yes we all know that legalization is the best way but it's easier said than done. The cannabis community has been implemented and accepted on the west coast many years ago and that's why the yall are enjoying the good life of legalization.

I only said something about verifying cus all it takes is simple phone call or emails just see where they sourced the gear from. As you know lots of banks redistribute seeds so the gear can be legit. As I said before I am not putting blame on you, your father or the company but I don't think you would ever understand how people in the community like me and others feel cus of how you've been connected through your pops so genetics and stuff has always been available. I won't say anything on this subject anymore and wish nothing but the best for you and everything you do. Will enjoying seeing you work with those old great genetics

...strange that you have such intimate knowledge of my customer base and their buying practices.
I was just thinking about that. Tons of other american breeders on those seed sites and I don't hear sin city or bodhi telling people, "Tough shit if you thought you bought my beans because you didn't."
...I don't hold myself to the standard of other breeders or humans for that matter. I set my own standard. And I'm sorry for anyone else who thinks that they have to act a certain way because they think that's the norm.

I do have a brain, so it is not hard to connect dots. All I'm doing is reading along, you're the one that is revealing himself.

Business 101, talk shit to customer interested in your product. 100% success. As charlie sheen would say. "Winning."
I don't think you're interested in much other than participating in a flamewar on the nets...

You don't give a shit about my business or practices, you give a shit about me running my mouth cause it's rocking the boat.

I'm not saying anything else bro. Some people just don't carry themselves the same way as others do and that's goes for anyone in any business. It's no biggie tho I never let shit anybody say to me get to me. I just wouldn't do business that way not saying the way JD is carrying himself or business the wrong way

Though to call me a hater is pretty weak. I've been championing the blueberry line for over ten years ever since I had success with the blueberry I got from Dutch passion, which I give 100% credit to your father on that and not DP. I am also going to grab some our your blueberry here in OR so I'm not a hater by any stretch of the imagination. I just don't get the agro attitude towards people posting their frustrations with product labeled with your name.

I know, and I don't feel like you're attacking me at all. I understand your desire to find a solution to this problem. I share your desire.

I wish it were as easy as just contacting the companies in question. As Mr. Head has already stated, they won't even allow him to post the email he received. So if a third party attempting to verify the genetics is told not to make the statement in question public, what kind of a response do you think I might receive?

Believe me, I understand how you might feel. And I understand how frustrating it must be not to have access to the medicine you seek. And I think it's bullshit. I am trying to wade through some of this topic in an attempt to find solutions to this problem and to perhaps inspire some to work towards the changes we all seek. Until we discuss these complications and intimately learn them, we will not be able to work towards the changes we seek.

Why the fuck am I still getting updates to this thread....

Also Joe, just because someone expects a certain quality of service doesn't mean they are a hater, that word is used way too much to try and discredit legitimate complaints. Treat customers like shit and telling them they are idiots is not good business, regardless of what book JD read for his awesome business sense and customer service skills.

Tell you right now any other breeder could verify their genetics regardless of what JD says. It's a couple phone calls or an email.
sorry man i have been "had " too in this biz ... for alot more than seeds..... go ahead an say your peice .... all i see is a guy like me doing what we do . pick up some seeds an plant them .... your beef sould be with who sold the beans .... once you know let me know ....

respect

I didn't come here to field complaints or debate business practices. I came here for the same reason as everyone else, to participate publicly in something I love, and I am constantly attacked, so have some empathy for me please.
