I just completed a germination test on the Whitaker Blues and Flo and got 100% germination success on both and tested out 160 Blueberry at the end of last year and got above 95% success rate on those. This was from 2014 stock and all back-stock Blueberry, Flo, Whitaker Blues, Azure Haze and Vaniluna tested out at the same rates.

Im not sure what region the seeds in question are coming from or what they're going through to get to where they're going, but when they leave Dj Short's Old World Genetics they test out at 95% germination and better, typically 99% and better.

And as far as the finickiness, that's to be expected when growing heirloom compared to hybrid. These strains don't grow like your typical hybrid. And if you expect them to and treat them as if they will you're gonna get finicky results. The same would be said about heirloom tomatoes compared to hybrid tomatoes. But we all know how much better heirloom tomatoes taste, right?

Im sorry you thought the beans you got sucked, thankfully it's a big world and there's lots of beans out there to choose from, right? Maybe try ordering them from somewhere else next time. And out of curiosity, where did you order the bunk beans in question from? Maybe it would be nice to let others know which seed company you are ordering form that sold you bunk beans. I know you didn't get them from Dj because True Blueberry is an offering that hasn't been around through Dj Short's Old World Genetics since...well, a long time if ever. If I remember correctly it was an offering through Spice Of Life Seeds. And coincidently, if I'm not mistaken it's a strain that's been out of stock for well over several years, so I doubt any seed company offering them has authentic Dj Short seeds either.

I sincerely hope you find what you're looking for.
