DIY with Quantum Boards

I would think the odds are low, you'd have to blow whole strings to have a problem.
so, hope i'm not bothering anyone, but does anyone have any opinion on running 10 parallel series of 10 LM561c and the chances of thermal runaway?

If you use A type driver you can adjust voltage so that if a string goes the driver will limit the voltage thus limiting the current if a string fails. If not going Meanwell I would use the Samsung tool and see if I could fill up the drivers voltage . This way if a string fails it won't provide additional current.

Cheers! I actually didnt realise the thread was 100+ pages long, so ill start reading through
In microgrows where people have replaced their CFLs with LED bulbs (+diffuser removed) you can generally expect the same yield with 1/3rd the wattage.

The QB is a lot more efficient than the average LED bulb.
Those new leds really put a beating on even the most efficient CFL.

I use CFLs with COBs, about 1w of CFL to 4w LED. I know it's less efficient but it just seems to help. I use the 2700k CFLs, then for the last 2 light cycles before harvest I switch them to lizard CFLs of similar wattage.

What is the lowest wattage people are running these boards at? Anyone running them at less than 50 watts in flower and getting good results?

Well, it will produce three times as much light as the CFL and 50% less heat so you be the judge! Considering thos big cfl lose 20-30% of their output in 3-6 months vs years for an led, which is truly cheaper to use?
I am wondering if one board could be used to veg about 12 teens.

Any idea when the $149 kit will be in stock? I wish RIU would get the pictures back up.

It's been awhile since I've had to run PPF numbers, so could someone check my math on this?
3 boards ran at a total of 2100mA or a HLG-240H-C2100A in a 8 sq ft area
A total of 2010.5 PPF or 1494.24 PPF per m^2
