diy planter pots

has anyone made their own pots? i'm looking for a certrain size and was curious what people were using for materials.

i have a bunch of spare plywood and 2x3 studs, would wood be okay to use for a planter or are there some chemicals i should be aware of etc...

i'm looking for a fairly wide planter rather than deep and thin, also trying to maximize floor space.

It would be a bad idea to make pots out of wood. The water will mess them up pretty quick. if you look hard enough, you will be able to find the size you need. Look at stuff like rubber-maid bins, plastic trash cans, plastic storage containers etc. Drill a few holes in the bottom and you have your pot.

oh good point totally forgot about the wood getting rotted and shit
