This might be the dumbest question ever. With dimmable meanwells, if i dim down, the actual walldraw in watts goes down as well, right? Linearly or what? Im looking at making a slightly over speced light w different spectrums on sep drivers so to be able to mix and match my spectrum and manage temprature better. So when i dim the actual wall draw goes down, right?

yes. not sure if its linear, but is definitely proportional.

Open the box. 200-240vac input.
Read the PDF and thought it said 115vac.
It doesn't. Should have double checked.
Buying HLG120c1050b.
Feel like an idiot.
for now skip the water cooling, and put that $$ into a more cobs.

Well I dunno if I should buy the potentiometer and resistor or use the set offered by a friend. He has a spare 100k pot at .5w and many resistors, has 10k, but they are also .5w

I have an HLG-185H-C1400A. Anyone know what setting to put my multimeter on to measure the output. Trying to adjust the dimmer.
BTW anyone know where I can find some info on recommended distances form the cob to plant tops? Does anyone change these measurements when its a clone/vegging vs flowering plant.

I think I figured out the multimeter part. I set it to 10amp port on the device. Then set the dial to DC voltage 10A. Gave me readings after adjusting the dimmer of .59 at its lowest to 1.54 at its highest. So that simply translates to 590mA and 1540mA correct?
