Hi guy
Im looking fore some cheap chips for making a grow panel 1xveg and 1xflower(wating with this)

Setup:
Tents: 70*120*165cm (Veg) - 120*120*200cm (Flower)

atm im using a 150w hps in the veg tent and a 400w hps in the flower room but it cant cover the area. First step is to build the led panel for the Veg room because im new at led, have been grown for about 6 years now.

Im looking for some aforable chips with a high output because the Cree cob's and bridlux's are to expensive atm because im sick. have seen ebay got alot of cheap chips but whats good and whats bad? is it cheaper to buy alot of 3 or 5w chips then the 100w china chips?

Hope to hear from yeah have Followed Growmau5 + Subra but thats all high end chips :)

You get what you pay for (or even less). Taking cheap LED's efficiency and failure rate into account, they're not that cheap after all.

lol a lot ... time for you to do some price checking.
Was thinkin about the output compared to the price :)

If you think Bridgelux Vero chips are too expensive you're better off sticking with HPS
the hps is to expensive in the long run have been grown for meny years now with a electrical bill on (3500DKK) 500$ every 3th month and it cant coverage my veg or my flower tent there not strong enough :)

But what you guys say is that china chips are useless? and its better to run COB chips then alot of 3 or 5 w chips?

Yeah and yeah. If you run cheap Chinese you'll be going backwards lol. At that electrical rate I would spend the money up front and do vero 29 v2 @ 2.1 amps each. You will need a minimum of 400 driven watts for that flower tent. 600 would be preferred. 400 watts will get you a good yield with shorter plants.

120 *120 veg tent. I would go with vero18s, half the price of vero 29s.

A 200 watt setup for veg, that spreads the light evenly across the whole tent.

5 vero 18s BXRC-50C4000-F-24, https://octopart.com/bxrc-50c4000-f-24-bridgelux-53633767

1 meanwell hlg-185h-c1050ma

1 120 cm fan, http://www.amazon.com/Rosewill-ROCF-11004-Hyperborea-120mm-Case/dp/B006DKEQV0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1452775192&sr=8-1&keywords=hyperborea+fan

1 meanwell apv 12-12 to drive the fan
1 long heatsink 40 inches by 4.85inches, http://www.heatsinkusa.com/4-850-wide-extruded-aluminum-heatsink/

Ultimately you may want two of these if the space is fully packed with plants.
