haha dude... I used common house held supplies also... except for the mylar...

poster board, zip-locks, spray adhesive, some power strips.

thats all. total cost... about 10 bucks...

well good for you. I'm just giving the guy props what he did. I never said you did anything wrong.

I have used foil before, the light creates hot spots if you use the shiny side, if you use the dull dimpled sides your ok. Yes foil is ok...

You guys knock it off. Back in the day on OverGrow.org foil was a normal cheap reflective material used on a bunch of low income grows. This guy has a great idea, maybe you should suggest improvements rather than chastise him for doing something cheap.

BTW man go to the dollar store and you can find mylar in the gift bag stuffing section.

Good idea, not right for me, but innovative thinking.

OKOKOKOK.. first things first +rep to luck for his CHEAP REFLECTOR W/ household materials. thats what his thead is about and thats what it is. If your using HID lighting obviously this is a bad idea. But ya'll are trippin if you think 100 actual watts of cfls are gonna make leaves burn due to hotspots!

Dudes... man... chrome spary paint is so under rated, like mylar but no problems with creases. Check it out, it's been doing super awesome for me for 3 years now.

Mylar can be purchased at home depot in the camping section. Ask for an "emergency blanket" or a "space blanket". Its in a tiny ass pouch so look for small items
