Great idea, you could use the pvc to make a rig that holds the lights wherever you want, but also keep them movable. Maybe something with velcro or magnets. It's amazing how many uses pvc has in our hobby, I went with wood for most of my builds which has it's own advantages and limitations, but using PVC for your light fixtures is clearly superior to using plywood, lol.

I used bare sockets from lowes ($1.25), stripped extension cords, emergency blankets, and scrap plywood. I hope you don't mind if I post pics in your thread, I love seeing other people's builds for ideas, so here's my ghetto cfl build.

thanks for all the complements on my simple light set up .. and xcon.. that looks pretty cool what u got there.. one think i liked about mine is im able to move pvp pipe to a diff level if i have a diff size canopy .. and you can make a lot of them and just link them ..
