Yes they work.

Okay here we go I am goign to give you a very fast instruction:

Buy [input desired inch tubing here ie 6"] tubing connectors. And screen and a air conditioning filter from home depot. They come in a plastic thin package and are carbon filters. What you will do is wrap the screen in-between the two connectors leaving about 1 ft of open space that the screen is holding. If you used connectors then cap one end. I prefer to buy one of the cheap inline fans from home depot to use as the front of the filter and a 6'' PVC fitting cap for the end and wrap screen between the two.

Does it work? Yes it deffinately does. I use it wit great success and I run 5 plants in bloom. They are cheap and you can layer carbon filters if you please. I like 6" fits most hoods and has a nice array of fans online for cheap. (eBay)

Yea I've done google but I wanted recommendations

Thanks light house that sounds very impressive.
Wow 5 and no smell awesome.
You got a picture of it bro?
To get a better idea.

Would 4" work its a small space and im planning on using
Either 150w or 250w so I dont need that big of a inline fan?
Thanks man.
Hopefully you can upload a pic if it's not to much of a bother.
