diving into aero, but nute questions...

I'm pretty much just excited...first official grow..been smoking for years, have known growers for years but never took the plunge until now...not quite a crawl before you walk type...
I splurged...dual 600w dimmable air coolers for my mainly flowering room..got a 400+ min inline cooling the lights and 420(!?!?) ish temperature controlled and speed controlled exhaust for the flower tent which is a jardin 120...oh and wjth a dutch pot aero system 1m2...mother/clone tent has a dimmable 400w cooltube, almost a mistake, but we can work it...i have a ghe rainforst 36 pot in there and I convjently placed my aeroponic cloned/bubbler next to it on the floor with a 110w blue spectrum florescent fixture...

so, fucking anyways!...my real question...nutes!...im using ghe flora, came for free which was awesome, they seem ok after begging a few weeks now with them...I've expierimented and shit, had nite lock out, had perfect levels, seen too much water, not enough nute loss...ph problems...(I run two large aquariums, that helped leed me toward aeroponic)...

I am currently set on the Lucas method along with the add back calc formula...its cool to be able to set your own ppm from those two bottles with a fajly simple amount of calculations.i u,dersta,d that ppm rafes are also typically strain dependent...like j got some og kush knock off I got from djnafem I'll be veggi,g soon...i u,dersta,d they feed heavy..??..

anyway..is their a prefered method from you top knotch growers that you prefer...i hear tons of sbit about the Lucas thing, j myself almost backed away mid week, then really realized, sat a,d plyed with some wter mixing, adding back, subtracting...all while takin ec readings...and to be able to adjust to my own prefereded ppm with minimal effort..tits!...i also have hard water.....0.9-1.4ec..different times different readings...

kinda a,swer my,own questions but would anyone recommend a,ytbing or keep how I'm doing and adjust once in harvested if neccessary?...

I have no ljcs up or anytbi,g yet and sorry for the writti,g, I. Alcohol buzzed and typing on a windows phone!..hhaha, I'll get arou,d to it evwntually...my set up has great capabities and I'm smart enough to abuse,them!...

All I really ever have done is aero so if you need help just ask. I use a fantastic botanicare pure blend pro recipe i have perfected over the years that produces beautiful plants with great tastes. Its in my thread, my 3 stages of flower, in hydro section.

I do aero as well and can offer some help but... are you doing True Aero, or the common low pressure, which is more like NFT? That will definitely matter based on what you are reading. (ie: Stinkbuds runs at 2000ppms on his grow journal, but in a True Aeroponics system that would literally eat your plants whole lol), so many factors, other than lights etc. I didnt see much information other than lights and some Ph testing etc info. What type of aero system do you use? Whats your PSI?

Ive found with my old aero setup strains arent to dependent, because of the direct nutes they are getting. But in a low pressure setup (ez clone prayers, GPH submersible pumps etc) you can do some crazy things that would otherwise sound insane.

Can I say middle pressure?...lol...all ghe products which was a waste of money now that I realize the simplicity of the systems, but a great foot in the door...for vegging/mothersish I'm using a ghe rain forest 36 pot..,its a 17 gallon recirculating tub that has this "vortex" spinner in the middle whice sucks liquid in and shoots it out all over the fuckin place, haha, which has been very effective for what it's worth...im using clay rocks as a support medium only in 2 inch/5 cm baskets and also to block light on open spots...didnt have any colars avaiabke and was skeptical on how they co..uld simply survive in air alone!..hahaha...
mysystem I'm about to transfer them into is a Dutch pot 1m2 aerlponix unit..they make it in aero and hydro aero obviously with sprayers which can be converted to hydro use, but not vice versa...it is a 12 pot system with up to 5 5cm/2" baskets per bucket for a total of 60 buckets...i dont plan to run that many at all at once, not for the moment at least.. But like I said, I'm learning alot along the way...and I like to learn about shit I'm,into, so this is a lot,of,fun...im not sure if I would ever grow anylther way for serious production...growth is simply explosive...im in no rush by any means, but you know what I mean, more so in a rush to progress so I can learn more shit...

I have a buddy that grows soil and I've been talkin to him about different topics that I just have written knowledge, not hands on, but through research as well as someod the expierementation I've been doing and he's just blown away...hahaha...he'd laugh at me when id tell him something, then inquire with a friend of his, old school Cali grower and be like ohh shit, my bad, guess I was wrong..dodnt know that, how do you know that?..hahahalike simple research my,friend...

I simply do not want to drain my fucking res everytime I need to fill up, I shouldn't have to and through research and,experience I know that I do not have to...but does anyone have any rough edged or solid formulas that they go by.,,for example, I like the Lucas ADD BACK formula...(target/current)-1*amount of micro yli want to run, by his standards 8ml/g*the size of your res...

that shit is actually pretty solid...but some people say run them under 1000ppm, some say under 6..some say around 1600...

and say I wanna run all three, micro, bloom and gro..is there a way to calculate what I should add back?..

Well Road, I always drain and change out my Res between Veg and Flower stages (If you are g oing for clone of course this doesnt matter). I dont really feel you are going to need to with your system, but when I do have 36 in one room going at a time, I normally give it a Clearex flush in the middle of veg for a few hours and then reintroduce my nutes back in (The ones i pulled before doing the flush).

I use HP so my water usage is minimal. If you don't have to top off that much, I would say let it ride for the flower period and top off nutes with your top off water. As long as you have a great light proof res, so brown algae cant attack. I did low pressure aero for awhile, but I always did indica strains, so my flowering never really lasted longer than 45 days.

True that...im just going to run with everthinf I have knowledge wise now...any problems ran into on the way, tKe care of,them then...i feel I have enough knowledge to confidently go through this first grow with minimal problems...i think the hardest thing was getting my temperature right in my "flower room"...completely underestimated how hot 2 600w hoods are....if I can figure out ventilation for two rooms through one filter and understand how to regulate my ppms...i think with that stuff alone knocked out, hahaha, I'm ahead of a shit load of first time growers...its amazing some of the things I see people asking about...its like dude, have you ever written research papers?...hahaha, idk..thanks for the input...I'm not quite sure if I'm going to run a journal or anything...once,ibget into flowering I will document somehow...

and I did forget,to mention, yeah I do understand how to abuse the shitnout of my res through prper ppm management, however, I will be flushing at regular intervals also...interestes to see what unflushed het not pumped full of nute buds taste like...

In a aero 60 I run 400ppm TDS,any more and it burns the plants with GH 3 part and a few blom boosters in the las few weeks and pull a little over 4 lbs with 13 plants. 3600 watts of light.

My tent is a Fucking mess right now. Iv Totally underestimated the growth that had comeI'm approaching my third week of flowing, yesterday I had to super crop down nearly the entire tent because they were stretching either past my lights or right there Against them... which now their even more bunched up! . Hahaha; I was like fucckkk...lol but at least their getting light.

I running useless, for the most part,I settled on that with slight modifications as best for this run...mine are running about 1150-1250.. off the top of my head I want to say 2.1-2.3ec...that'stheir happy spot for the moment. .in not quite sure if that changes throughout the process or what cause most formula seem to give the same about ppm nute equivalency just in different nute combos. . And they seem to be loving it...

That's cool though that muchvoff 4 plants. ..how long are you vegging? And are u scrogging?...im down with the screen but the long ass vegging cant do it...

Yeah. You've All been where I'm at. First grow gettin in. ..I just need to figure out my placement setup. Everything else is gravy ..I want perpetual 3-4 Week harvest. ..

Wow thats really low.. and kinda odd? I dunno, only one strain I have now doesnt like anything over 600, 590 its fine tho lol. On Medium feed strains I can go to 680ppm without nute burn.

First run ended with 4 plants in a 4x4 room 800W CLW Led Solarstorm 28 day veg from seed 3lbs here

I'm Starting my third week tomorrow and wow, totally Fucking blew up. .. wasn't prepared for the growthi have right now. ..I had a friend over earlier just shocked, he's a soil grower who hasn't really witnessed Hydro or Aero and was just amazed. ... I'm kinda amazed myself

For The most part though, what I wanted to say I'm running a slightly modified useless Formula and my plants stayaround a constant 1200 ppm...idk...2.1/2 ish?.. I that's their happy spot. Nothing but green in this Bitch either, healthy as shit!

Hha, my tap water alone is like 400 ppm..lmao, I cabt inagibe running tgatckiw with nutes...not qhat im running at least, I've fucked around with my clones a little bit and is like anything lower than 500 and their eating themselves!

I only veg for 2 weeks then straight to flower, If I do more than three weeks the plants get too tall for my room and hard to manage. The best I ever got from one plant was 1 Lb, she was about 7 feet tall and very bushy. Was a struggle to keep it from breaking its limbs because of the weight of it all.
This grow im doing Tutankaum strain, not very tall around 3 foot at the most but look like little xmas trees with tight heavy frosty buds. On my last week so will be cutting soon.

im right with you brother have whole bunch of growing friends and finally took the dive into it.. i found this site where i altered the blueprints a lil and am making a 81 site aeroponics system using vinyl post sleeves. i am trying to figure out myself on what is the best nutrient line to run. i wanna stick with one line because this is my first time growing aswell so i would like to buy a starter package that is great for aero that will keep my system clean and stop the mister's from getting gunked up... aswell i have heard of filters bieng used to stop the gunking of your mister's.... just looking for good direction.
