Guys, just checking this will work, can't see why not....
I'm running flood and drain buckets with hydroton. I've had enough of dealing with hydroton, it's a mess, it's a pain in the arse to clean. I just want something I can use and throw away.
I always start my babies in small rockwool cubes, then move on to 4" blocks - so my idea is just to put Grodan Big Mama 8 x 8 cubes in to the buckets and stack the 4" block on top.
I'll adjust the water flood height so it floods about an inch up the rockwool, then flood them once a day, or a couple of times a week as necessary.
At the end of the grow, I can toss the rockwool and start again. Easy.
