I'm planning on distilling honey oil. Does distilling activate the oil so I don't have to smoke it? I thought that was the case yet everything I read talks about smoking it. I'm thinking a smear on a pill and dropping it and waiting for the effects would be better for me than smoking, any thoughts? Thanks Dennis

denris your going to end up distilling the azeotropically available essential oil and that's it.... all your resin is going to be in a wet pile on your plant material stripped of its terps. Refer to the decarb chart on "google search" there's isn't just one decarb for everything there are plenty of ways of ruining oil by boiling it at 212f all night long....
Twitch Thanks for your reply; I'm using a distiller to boil off the alcohol using the frozen meth. And I hope the heat activates the thc as in cooking so I can take it with out smoking it because of asthma Dennis

You should be able to click on my sig for a write up on how I do it. I use this oil for for sub-lingual drops, and I get my desired decarboxylation -- for this application; works well enough for me.

Sorry, I should have read further. Distilling your alcohol and cannabis oil extraction would also partially, but not fully decarboxylate it.
There is less head effect when taken orally,

we decarb anything.. we have used.. olive oil.. mixed with buds. decarb it and extract on stove.. strain.. put into capsules.. and it works great. u can use anything that will extract the oil. we have even decarbed bho.. and put it in capsules. its great shit.
