distance to my seedlings?

hello everyone,
im sure this question has been asked before but i cant find it on here and ive never really thought to ask. how far away should cfls be from my 3 day old seedlings? they just broke above ground and i want to get them growing fast but dont want to burn them.

I burned 3 of my plants while I was at work cause I got a little excited. I kept mine about 2 1/2 inches from them permitting that you have good ventilation. while they are young they are especially sensitive to heat and will die fast so be careful. Any other questions?

great, how many do you recommend then? maybe 4 or 5 inches?
yea actually if you dont mind helping me i have one more question. how did you water the seedlings, like how often and by spray or a little in the cup?

id put the cfls 3-5 inches away from the plants...and for watering i water my seedlings every other day or every2days and just a water bottle cap full...or 2 thats how i do it.

ya bout 3-4 inches for seedlings, and 1-2 inch if possible for older plants. gl

3 inches.. CFL are low heat...wouldn't it take days for your leaves to burn?

A regular 60 watt bulb exploded in 6 hours on my table lamp and slapped my plant with flying glass.

I have 2 CFL on there now with METAl hood over both bulbs...about 2.5-3 inches from the plant.. opposite of each other.

it's about 3 inches tall now.

hey sorry to move the topic to this forum i dont think GM likes people sidetrackin his but ya replant and cover the stem up to the baby leaves....first set of 2 dont really look like weed leaves. they will die soon after the plant becomes mature and healthy then add more up to the first set of real leaves. the shorter and bushier the nicer the buds
