i doubt and really hope no DEA start peakin around. Things are pretty low key with marijuana in maine its not as big a deal as in some states. Just another step towards legalization.

yes my friends question 5 passed allowing more medical conditions to be treated with marijuana as well as dispensaries for patients to get marijuana. I do not know how or where it will go from here, but I aim to get very involved.

Go Maine!

So the big Q is how do we get together on this with out breaking rico laws? ;) I have been doing my own foot work with a couple of lawyers and the wheels are moving. I would love to see a dispensary coalition of some sorts. If we all work together on this we can limit the risks.

Roughly where are you located (North, south, east, west) I am central south.

Im on the southern coast, Kittery-Wells area. A friend and I have talked about this for months, waiting to see if it would pass. Im not worried about risk as far as the laws are concerned, as long as everything is above board.

Ive been reading the law changes its kind of weird.
From what I can tell (im not a lawyer):

1. A dispensary cant grow on sight, must be in a separate building.

2. It sounds like a dispensary can only distribute to patients that register the dispensary as a caregiver. Not just anyone w/ a MMJ card. This could be the one problem with the law. Is that the way it is in other states like California?

3. For each patient the caregiver is allowed 6 plants.

Ive got the wheels turning already on this, have been for a little while. My partner and I have the capital, just need to make sure of some things w/ the state and a lawyer.

This is news to me I'll have to check it out.

I believe it is, and the more patients on your registry the more medicine your allowed to produce. Also patients can be registered at more than one dispensary.

I believe that correct.

I am in the auburn area. I have a phone consultation set up with a lawyer shortly. ITs all about what the DHS committee come up with for zoning laws and how many total licences will they give out? :?:
