Discolored leaves

I've had this issue since they were a seedling. Discolored leaves and eventually some brown spotting. Usually affecting top growth. I'm growing in coco using GH Flora series using their light feed schedule. I'm on week 4, been feeding an EC of about 1650 with PH of about 6.0 to 6.1. Most recent run off was around 1700 to 1750 with ph of 6.1. I've been supplementing with calmag. Started with 5ml/gal and upped it a bit to about 6ml/gal since I suspected cal/mag deficiency. Been using that dosage for about a week but havent noticed any improvement. I also use tap water with a starting EC of 250+ so I'd be really surprised if it was lacking calmag at this point. I'm out of ideas. Please help!

Is your ec 1.65 or are you feeding 1650ppm?

I feed twice a day and usually ensure adequate run off.

What's your reasoning behind the lower ph and EC recommendations?

And thank you btw for your help
I'm guessing since your runoff is higher than what you are putting in, you have some buildup. Chances are good that while you are showing deficiency, it's not to lack of nutes in the feed. It's due to lockout to having way too much stuff piled up in your media. Drop your ec/ppm, continue feeding to runoff, you probably don't need near as much if any calmag. And as for flushing, I'd personally make a batch of 200-300ppm feed and flush the media until.it is under what you are feeding it.

Correct, I meant EC 1.65
And you're probably correct. I've read that as long as EC runoff wasn't over .3 above the feed EC then everything was okay. So that was my reasoning.

But your solution makes sense. I will flush and lower feed EC to 1.2 and monitor.

I should've known this could be the issue since I'm pretty good about calmag supplementation and checking my ph levels.

Thank you

In hydro nute uptake is best at 5.5-6.2 ph.. 1650 ppms is quite high for the stage of your plant..
Well I meant 1.65 was the feed EC with is around 800 ppm. But that is also the recommended "light feed" amount from GH. But others here, as well as cocoforcannabis (my primary source) say 1.2 EC is more typical.

Flushing, lowering EC to 1.2 and lowering calmag to 2.5ml/gal is my game plan

I use 12ml of micro, 9ml bloom, 1.5grams epsom. 1.4 ec,. ~6.2 pH. Autowater 5 times a day to ~25% runoff. It's a modified h3ad formula. I don't check runoff. Never have.

Keep in mind that nutrient companies like GH are not giving you feed numbers based specifically on cannabis because they are a general nutrient line for all plants. For example, tomatoes, a crop far more common than cannabis, takes an EC of about 5.0 on the high end.

I use the CCFC guidelines for EC and have never had any issues. For recipe, I just keep it simple: ratios of 1/1/1 (M/G/B) for early veg; 2/3/1 for mid/late veg, and 2/1/3 for flower. I also use silicon, calmag, and a microbial.

If you're feeding twice a day, you don't really need to flush - just feed at 1.2 EC and increase your runoff amount to about double and it should stabilize after a few days.
