Hello,

This post was taken from another MJ forum by a user called MisterAvocado

--------------------------------

By default, iPhone and other smartphones "geotag" each photo with the GPS location where picture was taken. Farmers have been warned about this before.

Here are step-by-step instructions for disabling geo-tagging on iphone, blackberry, android and palm:
http://icanstalku.com/how.php#disable

iPhone users may want to upgrade phone to 4.x software since it allows geotagging to be disabled without disabling all other location-based services (this control was not available in previous software releases).

Good discussion of the privacy issues associated with geotagging here:

Enjoy and pass the word so grower can avoid getting busted

The Geotags could come in handy IF used right. Armed with the coffee table bud book, and some High Times centerfolds... you could drive around town and snap pictures of plants in all sorts of places. The Sheriffs Office, the DA's house, the Court House, town square etc... Make lemonade with that shit and totally discredit the technology.
