Yo! I was wondering about this a lot, I couldn't find anything listed about this strain anywhere, just about the photo version. just came across this thread, somehow I must have missed it in 100 previous google searches-

in short, we're testers
Oh damn! I kinda feel like I should start an account there just to throw up this grow in it's entirety since they straight up asked people to start a thread to document it hahaha! Glad to know it's legit and glad to know I'll be able to get more, because I really am a huge fan! Considering the stunningly low amount of light she's under (<200w of CFL) I'd say she's doing fantastic! Especially pleased with the calyx:leaf ratio, I'm hardly gonna have to do any trimming, the buds look like they are growing the way I like them to look AFTER I manicure, all I'mma do is chop off the fan leaves and hang her up to dry

I started with LEDs and switched to CFL when I had to pull my LED to use it in the Party Cup comp. The actual wattage she is under right now is:
1x 68w 2700K CFL
1x 42w 2700K CFL
1x 65w 5500K CFL
1x 20w(actual draw ~4w) 2700K LED

So about 195-200w draw ... She looks awesome for 200 watts, i think my flower cab might be overkill with led, sitting around 500w all led, for only 5 plants at most (i go clone to flower) my veg cab runs just 1 240w (120) for 1 mother

What do you think the smell is comparable to from the auto blue kush?
Sorry it took me a while to reply, I was trying to put my finger on exactly what it reminds me of, and it just came to me. Grape Big League Chew. It is pretty much spot on as far as the synapses in my brain can tell.

A few glamour shots! I really to enjoy staring at her, and while I originally wished she was more purple, I am coming to find a real appreciation for the coloration she does have, as it is really quite striking and beautiful.

Looking good. I'm about in the same stages of flowering my blue kush auto. I do believe yours is a little older then mine. I did an experiment with mine also.
As soon as she started flowering I started some low stress training. As of today she is 63 days from seed. Running with her is a berry ryder started at the same time which I didn't train.
Pictures where taken just yesterday. Blue kush auto has a fuel/berry smell. Not very strong but enough to make you smile. Berry ryder is my favorite she smells like a freshly opened can of fruit cocktail from when I was a child. Little fermented smell to her as well. Good luck brothah man!

Nice, I have a berry ryder seed I haven't popped yet, good to see it's worthwhile :)

OH I also have other news, after my success getting plants to bloom outdoors in the winter, I decided to pollinate a lower branch of my Blue Kush Auto, try to get some cold-hardy semi-auto seeds to run outdoors during the off season. For the father I chose the best male that I wound up with from my outdoor winter bagseed crop, since he showed great resistance to the cold, a rather dazzling splash of purple on the actual male flowers, and a level of frost that I can only imagine is rather rare for a male plant to showcase. This is a picture of the MALE I am using to pollinate the Blue Kush, hopefully it doubles down on the purple, I love colorful buds. I THINK he is a Blue Cheese bastard, but honestly I have no idea.

And in more Blue Kush news, the buds are now foxtailing a bit as they fluff up, but they are staying very crystally so I love it. Not really sure when I'm gonna take her down, but for now I'mma wait til she stops throwing out new pistils. The change day to day is pretty small but the overall effect piles up pretty quick and you can really see her starting to bulk up (Well, bulk up considering she's under <200w of CFL, if she were under real lighting she's be quite the hefty lady I think)

Pretty damn frosty for an auto, I have three beans of the photoperiod Dinafem Blue Kush. I wonder if there would be any similarities between the auto and its photoperiod version

I'd imagine there would be, probably the photo would get bigger and frostier and a bit more colorful. After growing the auto version from a freebie, I am pretty sold on dinafem as a whole, I was expecting it to be pretty much trichome-free (The promo pic is very underwhelming haha), and it has absolutely blown me away.
