Digital Scale?

Can anyone recommend a decent digital scale? I was looking for one on ebay - seems like a lot of junk on there. Just want something reliable under or around $75. Thanks in advance!

you should check out a reloading digital scale. I've used them for reloading ammunition and recently found it used for other purposes as well. It's the Hornady digital scale, ran me about 28 bucks

U can go to ur local smoke shop and usually find em cheap. U can get one that looks like an iPhone for like 30 or 40 bucks.

Man I bought one for like $12 on ebay about a year ago and it works great. Weighs to the 100th of a gram (ie 3.55g). Lemme see if I can find it quick.

Digital Scale

Only thing is it has a 100g limit, not including the tare. Meaning when I weight something I use a bowl that weigh about 30g. When I tare it, I get those 30g back and can weigh up to 100g. Not that I even weigh though kinds of amounts, but nice to know.

Why must the scale be digital ?

I use digitals but i also double check everything on tripple or quad beams, every digital scale ive seen dont give accurate readings, you can plop a bud on the platform & get a reading of 8.7 grams, then move the bud around to a few different locations on the platform & get different readings with every move, the problem is amplified when you weigh more buds.

Even when using a bowl or container & using the tare feature to zero out the scale reliable measurements are an issue, how many guys here try to be honest & give precise weights only to have a patient call & tell them it was point 0.2 off ? Its a problem with all digi's.

Look on ebay under Ohaus tripple beam or quad beam & get a scale that will allways give 100% precise weights no matter how you load the platform, they are easy to calibrate & last lifetimes, ive had my tripple beams over 30 years so far, digitals are faulty by design.

Sounds to me like u need to calibrate your digi or its broken because digis are very accurate. Just put a dollar on ur digi scale and it should come out to 1.0, if not it needs to be re calibrated.

Well I guess it's a matter of how important being .1-.2 off is sometimes. If you are weighing your harvest just for the sake of knowing I don't think it's that big of a deal. Personally, if I was selling pot and I sold someone 1/4 and they called me up and said hey it was .2g light I would probably hang up on them.

Don't get me wrong, they triple beams and quad beams are great, but are more than what most people need I think. They take up a lot of space and good luck finding one for under $150.

Thanks Sonar, I think I'll try that one. Cant go wrong for 15 bucks!
Careful with the cheap ones. I bought a food scale at kmart for like 20-30 bucks. I get an accuracy of 1g +/- like .5, horrible, not to mention on oz its only accurate to 1/8 +/- 1/16. I was so pissed when I figured that out. So I could put 1.5g on and it reads 1g or 2g...wtf! Lol

nickel was also 5.01 i may be .01 off
Cool. every nickel I weighed came out to 5.01g too.

Pennies were 2.5g and dimes were 2.25g :)

Another interesting tidbit, the pre-1982 pennies came in at about 3g. Why? Because in 1982 they started making pennies out of zinc and plating them in copper.

Also my steel penny from 1943 came in at 2.67g.
