Hi guys, I've already completed one grow but i have my girlfriend is a little wary of smoking because she once had an experience with non-homegrown weed.

We were smoking for a few days already, one night she woke up in the middle of the night and took a hit which caused a sensation of swelling in the head (brain I guess) and her lips, like numb and swollen.

She is now afraid of smoking anything significant but is still able to tolerate being near me or taking second hand.

Anyway, my question is if this is just a concern of that specific 'suppliers' faulty weed. Or if it is a matter of strain that could present certain issues with certain people.

I have gooten a vaporizer to prevent any contaminants passing during smoking but am waiting for it in the mail. It was an idea we had to maybe allow her to smoke.

My personal guess is just contaminants or just chemicals not dried out or flushed correctly in the one she got effected by.

My grow is clean and I try to tell her but she needs some more information or advice. If you know anyone I can call to get an answer please let me know (doctors, etc.).

Thank you.

so im going to give you your solution first, and then an explanation....

you want: a mostly indica strain--high CBD/THC ratio

and heres the reason why.......

people like me, are just way more susceptible to anxiety and paranoia when they get high...........

most dealers sell sativa strains becasue their producers know that sativas get taller and get you higher, and quite simply there are just a ridiculous ammout of great full sativa and mostly sativa strains......but indica heritage is very important in the overall high........it makes it a more relaxing optimistic smoke, versus a heady hallucinogenic trippy smoke....it also lengthens your high where it lowers the ceiling of it..........the science behind it is that CBD changes where the concentration of THC is in one's body, effectivly altering the high............it also activates another cannabinoid receptor that THC doesnt affect.........and thirdly it keeps you from passing THC thru your system as quickly, hence the lengthend high......now if you had nothing but CBD you wouldnt even be high, because CBD isnt psychoactive on its own, but it synergizes with THC producing that more comfortable feeling..........some people can handle more hallucinating effects and thus could care less about anything indica.........i hope this made some sense
