Differences in opinions on ec & ph ( flood and drain ), ( IWS )

Hi all iv been baffled by the amount of difference in opinion when it comes to ec and ph levels in flood and drain systems ( IWS ),
IWS them selves say 0.2ec but surely that's what the level of tap water is !...

Just wanted to see what every one thinks, if people are as interested in this as i am, maybe we could all input and get an average somewhere...

I personally say 1.2ec and 5.5ph...

What dose every one else think ?, any input would be appreciated...

Thanks...

I thought it was a general consensus that 5.8 is the average typical ph for mj, as for EC i think you got confused because people would use EC ppm and other ways to test the amount of ferts in water. also each plant requires different ppm levels and every stage of growing also. there is no typical ppm or EC level

Well i use ppm and i like 1050 to 1100 ppm as a general rule of thunk for bloom no ups or downs, and for early veg
i like 400ppm and mid to late veg 800ppm. Most plant can handle this! For ph i find its best to set your ph at 5.6 and
let it drift to 6.2 then add ph down to get back to 5.6. Chasing ph is no buano! Now if you use an ph perfect nutes dont
correct ph ever!

i found i aero that anything over 1000ppm is wasting nutes. for early flower 5.4-5.6 lets plants take nutes needed to continue the veg growth, then 5.8 for mid weeks, then 6.0-6.2 lets them get nutes that buds want to finish strong.
